You're actually not supposed to twist your hair while placing it on the curler. You're supposed to put it around the barrel flat by using a scissor technique. Hold your hands like scissors keeping your hair flat in between your fingers while wrapping around the curler. When you buy at the mall they teach you how to use it :)

ahh i have the same kind of curling iron from the same company and it takes way longer to heat up or something. it takes like 30 minutes and i have the same amount of hair as you!

@JillianProductions I have the same problem. I found that using a 1 inch curling iron and wrapping it around the barrel works faster and takes less time. But you don't get the gradual spiral from big curl to little curl because the curling iron is 1 size.

I used a normal curling iron with a clamp, but I still wrapped my hair around the wand and it worked :)!! You just have to be veeeery careful with the clamp part :)

You actually don't need to buy a separate hair curler without the clamp. I do this with my hair just wrapping it around the whole thing, not opening the clamp, if you know what I mean. But the herstyler looks really cute. :)

Curling my hair with a clamp takes me around 45 minutes to an hour and I do NOT have enough time for that before school. Anyways, great tutorial. I will definitely be trying this hair style.
