This bike is 2300cc? Is that for the motor, or for the big ugly rad in the front? I really liked the bike until I noticed that rad, and now all I see is rad.
Is this bike reliable? I am interested in it but I am not sure how good it is. I am a tall guy "6.3" and the rocket roadster is the only cruiser that fits me very well.
Check your Vin # recalls, sounds like you have an idle adjustment problem. Mine used to sound like that before Triumph fixed the problem FOC free of charge.. nice bike.
i had my st1050 in service and they got me for 2 day rocket iii touring, i was driving in the city with my wife, in speed 40 kmh some kids run across the street so i jumped on brakes, but it had no ABS so back wheel was blocked, and the result was that i stopped in a lean angle may be 25-30 degrees. The bike is as heavy as a swine plus my wife didnt help me, i was holding it with my leg, we didnt fall on side but i had pains in my leg 3 days long after that
Hayabusa's are simply for fellows who know not what its like to have comfort and prowess. You see while its a simple fact that the Busa is faster. That's where it ends they are far from easy to have a chick like mine who is 36/22/36 and loves to ride reverse cowgirl while doing 100. Sometime in the future when you have been to the point your tired of being bent over. You'll sit like a man and CRUISE into ladies instead of chicks. Have a great time on your bend over bike hahaha!
Dude i'm 45 & got a Busa. In a way ur right but i'm 6ft 2 and maybe not "bending" over as much as a shorter guy. However some long trips can be a little tiresome... I love this triumph for when i get to 50 and beyond..and as far as women go, i'll say one thing, THE BIKE NEVER GETS A HEADACHE !! Peace :)
I my opinion unless you have owned a Triumph Rocket III you shall never know the smooth, clean, perfect note of this monster. I own a black 2006 Rocket III with the full compliment of accessories the factor offers. Including a custom leather gel seat which offers a ride so smooth your good for hours on the road with no fatigue. I have owned Harley's and I can say I will never again turn the key of a Harley in my ownership at least. Thank You Triumph for the best ride to date in any class.
haha. All this time I thought I wanted a motorcycle... Instead I'll just figure out a way to ride on top of my neighbor's Ford Fiesta... About the same size... The Fiesta doesn't have as big of an engine of course... But hey, I'm on a budget, right?
i love it how all the americans use there revolutionaly war thing thats all they can pretty much say now even tho the french and spanish did most the work lol..
Good God son, where were you in history class? In the back of the room with your mp3 player blasting your brain away? France was involved, but ran away whenever a skirmish started, as is their custom. Spain has never won anything.
omg you dumb fucking bigot, "one" hmm its won, and read up on your history retard. America didn't win cause it was better, we won cause of the fact that Britain was 3000 miles away. But I will agree, this bike is rice
ultrumas, nobody has ever mass produced a 2300cc triple cylinder bike before this, never mind the japanese. The rocket is british through and through.140 bhp & 147 ft/lbs of torque,i'll have some of that!!
This video convinced me to buy the D&D exhaust ... I'm glad I did! I love the pipes, they dump all the BS weight, clean up the looks and sound AWSOME. I recomend D&D exhaust to all. (the jardin look cool, but these sound much better and cost alot less)
how much weight did you lose with though's D&D's? They do look good on! I held back on getting the Jardin's for mine not so shore i like the look all too much!...
I would have to say at least 25lbs. It eliminated the big can and all the plumbing under the bike, and you would not believe how much the stock pipes themselvs weigh. Just the brackets that hold the pipes are thick chunks of steel, they go away too. The box the D&D's came in could be picked up with one arm, after putting all the stock parts back into the same box I could not lift it onto a shelf without help. The Jardin's don't have any heat shields, didn't want to get burned.
They look like standard Triumph pipes. There are plenty of after market pipes you can get for it now which improves the look and the bark of the bike. It really is a special machine. In the evolution of motor cycle design, I think it will prove to be a pivotal moment in years to come.
pity about the water cooling. The radiator does not improve the looks
They really move along though. Well done. Nice bike

America has never won a major conflict which they instigated. Look it up.
TheFartenator 2 years ago
You could argue that the Revolution was instigated, and won by the U.S.
Just sayin'...
You could also argue Korea... And Desert Storm... we won that too... Not doin' so hot the second time around... But thats a debate for another time.

Those are Triump's off-road (TOR) mufflers, and it has the catalyst-delete, from the sound. I have a set on my own R3.
D&Ds have a cleaner sound at idle, as does the Jardin setup.
