  • Theres no such thing ( the rapture of the chruch ) a fabricated word. The issues of the middle east have been there for decades. We just see them more with the information overload that has integrated in our daily lives. Wake up and live in light, fearing the boogy man is a man made scenerio, God, true God wants you to live in power for he made you to live within him.

  • Please help the people of Haiti by posting a video of inspiration instead of doom. I know the world is coming to an end but do we lay down the sword and turn away to those in need. Please inspire all to donate $ 10.00 to the Red Cross and Doctors without borders. Raul I know you can do it. Waiting for the rapture is fine, the world needs action. Please inspire, please take action.

  • Praise God for Raul's devotion to God. He is about saving souls, not nitpicking Christians. Truly a man devoted to God.

  • okay i m with you there with the materialism how much salary do you draw a year a million 500,000 100,000 50.000. 25,000

  • Thanks Pastor Raul for proclaiming the truth of God's Word to this dying World.

Let him who has an ear hear!

  • is it really necessary to call one another "idiots"? i don't think it is.

thought this to be a message of Love, that raul was sharing. um...isn't that a good thing? i think so.

    anyway...

these things i know and love:

    God knows ALL things.

    God cannot Lie.

God cannot be disappointed in us.

Jesus died on the cross looking Forward...

    to us.

  • My second problem is that this pastor says that we are the "last generation". Someone prove that one from Scripture.

  • My third problem is that this pastor actually tries to support his viewpoint about us living in the "last days" by referring to a quote by President Bush about us facing World War 3 and Iran going nuclear! This is such a wrong way to exegete the Scriptures using modern politicians who have been proven wrong already about Iran even having nuclear capability!

  • It has been reported today that Iran discontinued their nuclear program 4 YEARS AGO! So stop the news headlines method of interpreting the Scriptures please! Please just stick with the Word!

  • Don't let anyone deceive you. Be like the Bereans in Acts 17:11 who searched the Scriptures daily to find out whether these things were so. Don't take passages from the Old Testament out of context. It is a dangerous thing to add anything to God's Word. It's better to just admit that you don't know the future or what God is going to do. Let's focus on how we should be living today & leave the future to Him.

  • Paul is not writing about two comings. He clearly tells the Thessalonians that the Christians who have already died will come back with Jesus at His coming when He will then give the living Christians rest from their sufferings and will take vengeance on those who have afflicted them, the lawless one, and all those who do not know or obey God.

  • Why is it that so many pastors insist that God must have a Pre-Trib Rapture in order for Jesus to come "with the saints"? Are not the believers who have died in Christ "saints"? Aren't they already conveniently located in heaven so that they can come "with" Jesus?

  • Paul tells the Thessalonians that he doesn't want them to be worried about those Christians who have already died and that God with bring them with Him when Jesus returns. Doesn't Paul make it very clear by his teaching in I Thess. 4:14 that Jesus is NOT bringing back Christians who have "been raptured" prior to the Tribulation? He is bringing back those Christians who have died [those who sleep in Jesus] and are already in heaven with Him.

  • There is no way to understand the order of events being anything other than what Paul teaches in great detail in this letter: 1) the church is not exempt from tribulation; 2) the Lord is not coming until "the falling away" & "the man of sin" is revealed; 3) the Lord will destroy the lawless one at His coming along with all those who do not know God or obey the gospel & He will give living believers rest at that time as they are gathered together to Him.

  • [Paul tells Timothy about the coming apostasy in I & II Tim.] & warns the Thessalonians about this further in 2 Thess. 3 & gives them specific instructions as to how to handle such people. The Thessalonians are also told that the man of sin must also be revealed before the coming of the Lord. In 2:8, it is obvious that Paul is saying that the lawless one has to be revealed & that sometime after that happens, the Lord will destroy him at His coming.

  • I Thess. talks about the judgment the wicked will receive & the rest that believers will receive when Jesus comes. Ch. 2 addresses this coming of Jesus & the gathering together of the believers to Him in the day of Christ. The believers are told that that day would not come (Jesus would not come) unless the falling away comes first.

  • II Thessalonians 1:9-10 goes on to say, "These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power, when He comes, in that day, to be glorified in His saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed." What "day" is being referred to? It is clear from the preceding verses that it is the time that Jesus is coming in judgment upon those who don't know God or obey the gospel.

  • God will punish the wicked and reward the righteous at His coming. I Thessalonians is important to show that Christians have never expected to be exempt from tribulation. However, many pastors are teaching that tribulation and wrath are the same thing when they aren't.

  • Does this sound like the Thessalonian Christians are waiting for a "Pre-Trib Rapture" to save them from their present suffering and give them rest? No, they are not given rest until the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels taking vengeance.

  • Who will be repaid with tribulation? Answer: "Those who trouble you" (obviously not Christians). When will the Thessalonian Christians be given rest? Answer: "When the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ".

  • In reading II Thessalonians chapter 1, it seems clear that the church of the Thessalonians is suffering great persecution for their faith. In 1:6-8, they are reminded that "it is a righteous thing with God to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ."

  • My final disclaimer is that I am NOT attacking any pastor personally who preaches a Pre-Tribulation Rapture in regards to their status as a Christian. I am arguing against their teaching on the Pre-Tribulation Rapture. They may be perfectly sound Bible teachers in regards to other subjects.

  • I do not even begin to think that I (or anyone) can ever get their minds around the thoughts and plans of God. In the end, I certainly would never argue about someone's salvation in relation to their viewpoint concerning the rapture. We will know the truth someday.

  • Note that I do believe in a rapture. I just don't believe that the Bible teaches that it happens at any time other than at the Second (and only) Coming of Jesus. You can't force the Bible to say something that it doesn't say. That is adding to the Word of God. If the Bible doesn't teach a Pre-Trib Rapture and this results in some of our other ideas concerning end times prophecy getting "messed up," then so be it.

  • I apologize to those who are trying to read this. You have to start at the bottom of these posts and work your way to the top.

  • Let me start by saying that I do not even pretend to have all the answers concerning "things to come" or end times prophecy. I have spent 25 years studying all the various passages and interpretations and still have more questions than answers. Each time, however, that I study this topic, I do learn more and am able to better explain why most of the teaching I have heard on this subject is just plain opinion rather than biblical exegesis.

  • In regards to the continued emphasis on "the rapture," I think it is important to note that a Pre-Trib rapture is not necessary and is not biblical. The only rapture that will take place is the rapture of the believers who are still alive at the Second Coming of Christ. I'm going to paste a series of my thoughts on this subject below for those who are interested in being Bereans and really looking at what Scripture says and does NOT say about the rapture of the Church. God bless!

  • While I agree with Pastor Raul about the need for all believers to be actively preaching the Gospel to the lost, I have also been taught by him and other CC pastors over the years to search the Scriptures to test whether or not a message is biblical. See my comments in the posts that follow regarding the Pre-Trib Rapture.

  • What a good Word! Pastor Rual we need to do an evangelistic outreach in Glendale\Burbank one day, Lord willing!
