Here's the thing, and I know I'm gonna get a lot of heat from people on this but...

The world _isn't_ as bad as you think. If you get rid of jerks like Alex Jones and George Noori and other people who would rather fill your head with fear more than the actual message they're trying to sell, then suddenly reality has more breathing room.
