JB, that's about the best looking French Dip I've seen. Never tried that packaged Au Jus; I always take some good beef stock, add a smidge of garlic, and cook it down til it's rich and thickened. Do you think the packaged approach is as good? It's sure a helluva lot faster.
A simple meal, but elegant, and with a 10 on the scale of yum. I like it!
awww french dips. the first kitchen i worked at i would eat two to three french dips a day HOO BOY. i got up to three hundred pounds on that diet lol. make a little horseradish mayo, thin slice tomato and onion, on a good roll and that's the buisness boy
Looks top-notch, JB. I find it interesting that you use the sandwich press with the sandwich in it open-faced! I'd think that'd make the cheese even better - I'll have to try that next time.

I tried that McCormick Au Jus gravy before and I didn't think it was that great, too weak for my taste, what did you think BoY? lol im just curious.
