does that realy works..? Today I went to the hospital for making a X-ray and they found noting. An orthopeet (I don't know how to call it in the English) said that I have Patellofemoral pain syndrom. I have like 3 years trouble with my knee (and I'm 13). The orthopeet said that I could have trouble with my knee till my 30th :O I'm going to try that taping thing... Btw, I have more injuries on my knee 4 in total :(
I have 10 injuries in total all over my body :( Srry for my bad English...
@MyMelzzz Well in my case a lot of the pain was because my knee cap was out of place so the joint was grinding. With the taping it is in normal position and the muscles could work a bit more as they should. It really depends on what the underlying problem is I think. I am no expert - this is what worked for me. Kerri
@kezzcass Okeej, I have to walk this and next week on my crutches for the rest. And after that week i've to rehab.. and that will take some time. But when I'm going to sport, I'm going to try this. Thngs for the vid. Greetzz from Holland Melissa
Toby's a sly dog huh? Getting you to show him your legs for 'scientific' purposes! But that's really cool that they've identified that. I had similar things going on too, might ask em about taping... Anyway a quick brag- I walked up 2 steps today!!!!!!! Amanda.
Hey Amanda! Haha nup (it was my idea) - I just wanted to share this little nugget as after about 3 years of knee pain my physio did this treatment and I have found it to be really beneficial. After chatting with Toby I thought perhaps others could benefit also. Well done on the 2 steps - next you'll be taking the whole flight of stairs!! Love Kerri
Hi Andrea, yes - it does feel like it is in the joint. That is why for so long I thought I had arthritis (before diagnosis). My knees will often swell when it is really bad. I get pain in feet, ankles and also in hips. My physio worked on getting my strides as straight and 'normal' as possible to ensure I wasn't doing more damage. It takes a lot more concentration to walk straight - both feet facing forward and legs slightly wider apart is what I am constantly telling myself! K
Thank you so much, Kerri. I do have knee problems too because I had two relapses where I lost the use of the leg and arm and my left knee was very weak for a very long time. Now it is much better but I continue to use the knee in the wrong way...so this suggestion might help me. I will ask the therapist that took care of me in the past. I will send her your video so she can take a look at it :)
Yes - it cannot hurt to give it a go. I think a great deal of our problems with walking is that we don't often concentrate on our gait and can develop some bad habits. Whilst there are some things about my walking I just cannot seem to improve (my right side tends to swing) at least I can keep my legs straight with the strapping. Kerri
I find that Neuros don't get involved in the rehab side of MS. I was fortunate to be referred to an excellent rehab centre 18 months ago and I just pestered them about everything niggle and pain I had. This is one gem I walked away with :)
Seriously, thanks so much. Brilliantly explained. I'll try to show it to my physio. Looks like I'm gonna have to shave my legs, eh? MS is just one big voyage of discovery...
I have the same pain. Ouch.

@kezzcass They did rehab intensively on me at POW, but this was not shown. You are far better.
