i'm almost 30 now but i still remember when i heard this track first time in my life during the school years...it was like something what i've never heard before..I didn't even know what genre it was...but i luved it so much....i played it with my cassette player again and again...something begun that day :)
i sometimes had this trivial dream while listening to it. seeing me, riding the german autobahn (direction: sylt) , using a porsche 911gt, inside the nice smell of new leather from the black seats mixed with the perfume smell, exuded from the lady on the passenger seat, the speedometer needle gently moving somewhere beyond 230 km/h ;)
I had this on a tape years ago and loved it! I came across this by accident, what a find. Find your best headphones, sit in a darkroom, close your eyes and take the awesome journey that is Terry’s house.
@pedrofaba i cant see ur age but i can see that ur from the states.. well, you cant know shit about real techno music so dont act smart about things that are simply beyond your level of comprehension. have no hate in your heart that might sound a bit cliche and so but its the truth, techno is based on P.L.U.R (the long lost plur, unfortunately) and you simply cannot HATE such thing that is L O V E in its modern , purest form. dont hate things you maybe now dont understand, one day who knows..
@unlogitz ok to begin with im from madrid-spain ok and yes spain has one of the biggest following in techno in the world along with germany.yes i do lived in new york-.and i know techno very good as my sister lissen to it and sorry mate but what i dont like is that it changes to much the beat just when you hear a nice beat for 10 second it changes to another and its very frustraded and yes ive taking the big 'X' like everyone else and it just dosen't cut it for me ,U AND MY SIS SHOULD CHAT-LOL
you've all right guys, i love his music but 4 me he comes second behind timewriter. terry composes his ambient as NF and timewriter as Jean F cochois. his album "electronic love" is really spectacular
no offence but i cant entirely understand what your saying, Norman Feller and the timewriter are two different people - Jean F chochois is another person, sometimes he dj's with Norman as TLBJ & the timewriter..
YES!!! This is a deep tech blueprint!!! I like how the track evolves. Element by element comes in and then also leaves. But the vid ... only one picture, and that does not fit to the music, the artist, the title. TLBjr btw is only an artist name. The man behind that is german!
completely disagree with some of the stuff your saying.1. Anyone coming here probably already know TLBJr = Norman Feller
2. He chose that name because he takes influence from black music - which is why he sometimes uses a black guy with an afro on his 12 inch covers
Picture =- 1.the artist (see above) - 2.the title 3. The musicf (the pic shows a smokey room with some heavy guys playing heavy music - deep, smoky serious house music makes me feel just like that pic..TLBJr = 'brother for real' :)
I guess there could be a lot of them in Netherland history repositories, since it reminds me a lot of the jazzers in Holland ,after WW2 ,or Harleem (maybe even NYC version of it)
house! i was turned on to this track mid 90's when doc martin released his mix cd and this was the opening track. 10 years later it still sounds fresh. so deep.
i still have that cd. 'unlock your mind.' it was actually track 2 :)
it doesn't get any better than tlbjr. his style is distinct. his bass lines are always funky, which is what really makes this track stand out. it's techy, but also groovy. puts me into a hypnotic trance every time.
Music for listening and dancing pleasure indeed... Terry,Timewriter..Plastic City...i'm home :) I know this 1 since it was released..love it ever since... Thanx for up :)
Found it ! Heard this ten years ago on a mix tape with no name, lost it but it has been haunting me ever since ... This track brings back (good) memories :D
i have this original vinyl from 1996, the pre release! terry lee and the timewriter, the aliases (drain pipe, jeremy, elias...) a masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
found an old cd of his music at my girlfriend's... i love it!
