@Claerith its not shown in this video but gogo does make it to the airship, right after terra lets her hair down it and it pans over the ship and fades out and you can see gogo and umaro for a split second
haha operas are supposed to have cheesy lyrics, it's just in italian or another language so you can't tell. Plus those lyrics are just an unrelated story in story. 25% of all the cutscenes in ff8 are devoted towards the love love ballad of rinoa and squall
I like games where people wear classy opera dresses and convince people to go to fancy banquets, that's just me lol. Maybe you like games with lots of heartfelt embraces with the sun setting behind, that's okay.
lol I think you're a little bit deluded if you think one line corresponds to all the emo inner monologues, hollywood embraces, and I seem to remember a long extended scene of squall and rinoa holding each other asking "can we stay like this forever" in an empty cockpit with faye wong music playing in the background
i loved playing this game so much, it makes me feel so nostalgic watching this, i was 11 years old when i played this game and i was sooo enveloped in it, just the music makes me get teary eyed
Actually Relm,Shadow and Gogo looks related as they are the 3 only chars who can equip the Memento charm (not sure for the name)which is something from relm's mother.
... if you think FFVI is a romantic game, you obviously didn't play the game. There were romantic elements, like Locke and his girlfriend Rachel, but that's mostly it.
Maybe I've just been listening to a different arrangement, but I didn't think this was the arrangement in the game...
yeah, FF6 is great for a lot of things, including the minor romantic elements but also for the other character development and story. Everything was so well-crafted in this game, then later they got sappy with the romance in 8
Not so much. A romantic game doesn't just mean it has "Romance" type elements.
It's a romance in the scope of it's story, the depth of it's charachters and the feelings it invokes in the person participating in the story.
If you let it, the game give more than just the feeling of another game to play, like many of the "next gen" games. The game is more of a sweeping romantic epic, that you're invited to take part in. Games like this are few and far between nowadays...

its unbelievable how good nobuo uematsu is that he creates a 45 sec piece for an ending theme and its the best theme in the whole game....amazing!!

It's incredible how sprites and simple animations like this can express such great emotions and feelings.
Best ending in VG history, fuck all the "next gen" fotorealistic graphic.
We need some "next gen" art direction on our consoles, not more power.
