Just collected my 3 MiFi and going to set it up soon, I must admit this is the only good review on YouTube. This had the information I needed :) Thanks
i have one of these too ( 3 mifi ) . i live in ireland and i want to open the nat type from modern to OPEN . whenever i type my ip in i cant get to admin page to change my UPnP. can someone help me change my nat type ?? 3 Mifi E5830
Why does it need to be associated with apple products? it works with any wireless compatible device.
What I want to know about this device is why would you need it when you can run a wifi hotspot from just about any smartphone... does it provide any additional functionality....?
I'm in Ireland and i have this modem, and the speeds i get are nothing compared to the speeds your gettin. Im pretty sickened because i have a years contract and I'm trying everything to cancel it and change back to my original provider, which was pretty fast. Customer support is a balls with 3, shower of wankers. who have you chattin on a phone for an hour then they hang up. Anthony from 3, your sir are a born and bread cunt. ps is there anything i can do to get out of this contract
right let me just double check this, if you take out contract you pay 39.99, and i am guessing you pay the 15.99 monthly charge for the first months usage then you cancel so it effectively costs you 55.98, is that correct??
@nylecrane2k7 3's network coverage for me is amazing, i always get a decent 3G connection when i'm out and about, abd i feel that 3's speeds are a little faster then o2 etc...
Anybody know what speed is average from 3 with this in the Bray (south east Ireland) area? They say I should get the max which is 7.2mbs! But I find it to hard to believe
you say buy the contract 39.99 a month, when and if you cancel it after the first month do you keep the MiFi/WiFi wireless router? or do 3 ask for it back?......
@finbarh6 nop you keep it. They dont ask for it as your clearly entering into a 1 month contract with them ;). When you do phone up to cancel, they do offer some great deals though i.e. they offered me 5GB for £6.99 for 3 months. Would of taken it but dont use the mifi as much so ask them to cancel it entirely.
Been using one of these for over 6 months now. Faster and better coverage than Vodafone (in my area of UK). Would like a little more battery life, but I often use my Powermonkey solar panel to charge it directly
I love my MyFi, pay £5 a month for 1GB, hardly ever use it but it's handy to have as a backup. As for 3's phone network, was good for me, better speeds and coverage than I get on T-Mobile.
Agree about Customer Service, but as long as you are persistent you get what you need in the end
Hey I like your videos but just a couple of pieces of constructive criticism on the overall quality!
When you have close ups the lighting needs to be sorted as it makes the product looks bad. Also when you zoom/dolly I would recommend making it smoother (you could perhaps zoom on your video editing software?)
Also, I would recommend you practice your focusing :P
but like I said, I enjoy your videos but just a few things I thought could be better.
@eddkahn cheers bud for the comments, appreciate it. Will try and work on this. Still kinda messing about with the DSLR, will get the hang of it eventually.
3 is good in the UK? 3 in Australia is terrible! Always getting random drops in signal strength and 3 does not offer 3G in Newcastle (NSW)! Should've gone with Telstra.
@iGlasweigan That A330 certainly isn't to scale! You don't collect do you? Unfortunately for my bank balance I do, and have about 200 pieces of various airlines. Of course I have a full Emirates fleet, be rude not to have my employers planes!
Been using one ever seen they first came out over 2 years ago, before that used the three dongle. I've not had normal broadband or even a landline for about 6 years.
@mbaseballpro2 I believe its unlockable - which means you can use any network/sim in it. Not sure if it will work in the US though. Why don't you opt for the Sprint/Verizon Mifi hotspots?
but couldnt you just use your iphone and used your data allowance by using the new feature in 4.3.2 or you use miwi if ur jailbroken, but yh 3's customer care is awful.
@randomrazr oh erm, I would go with black - always have. Don't mind tbh as I always put a case on it anyway, so not bothered. HOWEVER, if you are looking to get a white one - beware that its slightly thicker meaning current iPhone 4 cases on store shelves won't fit the white one. You may need to wait a little once accessory manufacturers have bought out new ones.
Ive had the 3 mifi for over 8months now and i have used it for everything, iphones, blackberrys, ipads, macbooks, even gaming on the xbox 360 and has done me fine i pay £15 a month for 15GB
LOVE this thing its amazingg, the deal of £123 for 12gb of data for use over 12 months is about the same price ( maybe slightly less) and for people who are sceptical over using the ebay way its worth a shot. and i ENJOYED the video :)
love love love this device have it a long while now and is my main internet connection where i am as i live miles from anywhere and still decent quality signal and long lasting battery would definitely recommend to anyone! nice review man!
For mobile in the US, I am using the wifi hotspot feature on my Epic 4G on Sprint. Not as flexible as a pay-as-you-go option, but not bad. So far, best speed has been 4 down and 1 up.
@tonyutter nice one. Isn't the Verizon one pretty famous? I like this 3 one personally as it allows numberous devices to be connected, network coverage is impressive, good build quality, pay as you go plan and you can use it over 3 months ;)
@theunits3 Yes, that one is famous. Verizon also released a 4G LTE mifi as well as one from Samsung. As for my phone, I can also connect devices simultaneously, up to 5.
Just collected my 3 MiFi and going to set it up soon, I must admit this is the only good review on YouTube. This had the information I needed :) Thanks

How bad is 3's mobile phone coverage? I'm not too bothered about the customer service, I just care about having decent network coverage.
