  • so l wanna buy a lcd monitor to use as my tv, what specs should l look for? and do l need external speakers

  • my dad's comp is 25000:1 or 20000:1 somthing like that :P its awesome.. i think is a dell

  • will this be ok for a Geforce 9800 Gt???

  • Geforce 9800 GTX+ or ATI HD 4850 work perfect whit this monitor.

  • yup, igot mine

  • Yep, any monitor will work with any video card, as long as it has VGA or DVI out put.

  • I´ve got a LG Flatron L1752S monitor. I´m thinking about going for a 19 screen, ´cos the 20 ones are much expensive.

What Monitor should I get? I´ve got a Geforce 8800 GT ( I don´t know much about the connections and stuff)

So can anybody answer me. Just to hear your suggestions, ok? thanx!

  • I own da similar one ! dont buy it ! its bad ! it makes yer eyes burned out ! even when u set da contrast n brightness into zero it still burn yer eyes ! buy wearness or dell ! they're better !

  • as u said....u have the similar one.. stop saying shits i've the same and it's totally perfect

  • hey thanks chugo145 but now ive got samsung T190 with 20000:1 dyanamic and1000:1 typ contrast lcd

  • u was the contrast ratio 8000:1, (typ) or Dynamic???

  • 8,000 dynamic and 1,000 (typ) nice features for this LCD. I own this lcd, crysis looks better than my old 17' CRT Monitor

  • i got a question, why would you buy a monitor for your work? if i bought these it would be in my home, lol

  • they have an hd version know for very reasonable price 149$!!!! yea i would check it out at bestbuy

  • sighs i got the 943NWX and it don't come with DVI input. That stupid salesmen lied to me tat 19 inches don't have DVI...

But anyway the 943NWX is fine too... Just that no DVI

  • booo no hdmi?

  • Got free converter

  • is the

Samsung 2223NW lcd monite any good ???

  • got one

  • windows xp ????????????????????????

  • lol, i just noticed that.

  • Does someone know if there is a 15 or 17 inch version? Or another screen with 15 or 17 inch that can do the vertical rotating thing?

  • Why would you want a 15 or 17" panel? I used to game on a 17" Dell Ultrasharp LCD- that was with my old FX-53/ATi X850XT rig. I built a new rig with a 22" Panel paired with a 19" panel and its so much better. Gaming specially FPS- is incredibly immersive since your field of vision is taken up. Unless you have some severely limited space or you have a specific reason for buying a small LCD. But Flat Panels are so inexpensive nowadays that the bar has dropped when it comes to getting a bigscreen.

  • Well, I don't use it for gaming. I want to use it with my live setup when I'm playing music live. And I want it setup so that I can view notes on the screen.

I was thinking, maybe I can view 2 pages simultaneously next to eachother on a 19" widesreen.

Well, I'm going to think about it. It isn't the money, I'm prepared to pay even more for a smaller one.

  • i figured you needed a smaller LCD for a specific reason or cause, cuz i havent heard anyone asking for a 15" lcd let alone bring one up, in quite some time, so obviously a person must fill a particular niche if they are looking for such a small panel.

  • windows xp ??????????????

  • yeah one of the best OS of all time

  • i second tht. i tryed vista hated it so i switched back to xp. mabey windows 7 will be better. we can only hope.

  • Windows 7 will kick Vista's butt over and over again..

  • vertical rotation is nice if you read eBooks a lot!

but honestly, my last samsung had it and i never used it. I rather ditch those features for a 22" that is same price w/ larger resolution and higher contrast ratio.

  • Hmm still got the old version of this monitor, the SyncMaster 940BW and I am still lovin' it.

  • 1440 x 900 is standerd for a 19 inch widescreen

  • yea and its not very good. a 20" is 1680x1050

  • It's only 1440x900 , thats terrible.

  • meh, its alright. its beter than nothing right? who would wanna play at resolution 240x480 (or somthing like that lol).

  • still you can get better for the price.

  • true

  • Good luck playing games on something that tiny

    hell 24" is pushing it.

    Waste of money

  • pro gamers all use 19 :) 24 is too big

  • lol ande 24" is 5" bigger for more than double the price of a 19". Also, 19" uses a low resolution while maintaining a great size:quality ratio.

  • Get a job if your too broke to afford $300 for a 24".

    McDonalds is always hiring

  • ya right

  • guess it is crap for gaming lol

  • i was thinking like how wierd it would be playing guitar hero pc, counter-strike, half-life and some other games vertical lmao.

  • guitar hero and audiosurf would be good

  • audiosurf is fun, but how would it be played? it would be interesting. but not as wierd as playing crysis on it lmao

  • Is it have 2 version?

1- with HAS (height adjustable stand)

    2- standard stand

..or the HAS sold seperately? coz my friend's doesnt have the HAS.

  • Cool monitor, bought it for my rebuild

  • Just me or the stream of that video is as horrible as it can possible be?

  • nice!! it's and cool!!!! I kinda like this one!!!

  • also touchscreen sucks on monitors...its better when u feel the actual buttons...especially since u dont see it

  • yeah...at least the should put an LED into that touchscreen. i barely see it

  • does any monitor these days have that motion blur thing? lol...my monitor frm like 8 years ago didn't even do it

  • I own this monitor for 2 months, i dont know this LCD can rotate upside-down..haha WTF!!!!

  • lol same... here but i have de 22" version

  • Nice. i wonder if it has hdcp support for when i get a ps3. im going to be looking for a monitor :)

  • nice one

  • LOL

CompUSA say that they don't sell it anymore

  • When I look at them, they seem so small compared to a 22", or maybe even a 21.5".

The only spectacular things were the touchscreen menus, but even now, thats something that should be standard by now. All the tilts and movement are nice to have but should be mandatory.

Meh if they are like $99 I'd buy two, but of course they'll be $200ish or more, which isn't why I'd buy two of them.

  • Samsung no 1 in LCD screen

    thanks

  • he didn't tell us the native resolution or max resolution.

  • Most likely it's 1440x900, or maybe even 1680x1050.

  • pretty basic monitor really...I don't know what the big deal it.

  • ADVERTISING!!

  • everytime albert says "its right up your alley" it fell like hes ganna say its right up your ass lol

  • says 1000:1 in the description, but in video its 8000:1?

  • 1000:1 True Contrast and 8000:1 Dynamic most likely

  • Dynamic Contrast ratio is 8000:1 while normal is 1000:1 dumb!!

  • and u expect ME to know that? kind why i asked why it was like that...dumbass

  • dont angry. that was a joke.

  • im sure it was a joke. certainly didnt sound like a joke the way you worded it.

  • why does it even need a touch screen? waste of money

  • 19" inch??

    That's small for pc gaming

maybe if you don't have the best GFX card then I understand but if you don't then why not get a 22 or 24?

  • Price, deskspace, not wanting a single big but a couple of smaller screens, not needing the extra resolution. Those are a couple of reasons that spring to mind just of the bat for me. Personally i rather have 2 smaller screens than one big. I always use fullscreen when gaming or using google earth or whatever, so its sweet to be able to have another screen for mail, firefox or something else. Anyways, just my opinion.

  • =3 fuck yeah.
