People, your forgetting one very important thing about the lavitar.

It was hatched right before the silver conferance, where ash wouldn't have been able to use it, and RIGHT AFTER the silver conferance, ash decieded to leave all his pokemon at prof oaks lab so he could "start his journey like he did the first time", meaning that he wouldn't have seen lavitar until the battle frontier, and now it would probs only be a pupitar if hes lucky.

It would have been sweet if he kept it, but he made an agreement with Professor Elm to return it to the wild.

Anyway, they changed the voices because 4kids lost the right to dub Pokemon or something. When PUSA picked it up they decided it would be fun to mix up the characters a little (assholes). And thats a good idea, you should get used to the French voices for seasons 9+ and English 8-. That way they'll always sound familiar to you.

Oh my god I know. James sounds like a wimp without a life HE SOUNDS REALLY OLD. Their jokes were only funny when the REAL team rocket said them. The only replacements I dont mind are Brock and Meowth, they fit ok. I get used to May, but I really liked her old voice. Ash sounds constipated and Max has a Sinus problem and is now a retarded nerd. I like Scott's new replacement though, and they tend to bring back real voices later(like Gary's)

Battle Frontier singer? Thats Jason Paige. Seasons 2-8 were all sung by david Rolfe and his gang. 10 was some random idiot rapper, 11-12 were Kirsten Price. The first was by someone else whose first name is Jason but not Paige... In my opion the singer with the most singing talent is Kirsten, but my favourite songs musically are from the David era. The singer for BF has some singing skill, but no one put any effort into that song. The rest all rock well, but that one is a let down.

Ugh... I dont hate the song, I told you, its my least favourite. And PUSA is my least favourite dub of Pokemon. Becalmed, now? And I am not a rapper, I am not a singer, I am a guitarist. Ya The english dub for some reason didn't dub it in season 6, they waited until 8. And the reason Season 8 continued past the HL is related. My theory is they knew after their opening to not show Phanpy and the Battle Frontier in the series would be too odd. 4kids decided to continue the series under the same opening, but diferent Title. Sadly, tho, they lost the right to the series and PUSA picked it up. They picked up some random idiot off the street and got him to sing the opening. D:

yep. Rather than just showing random images for their openings for once they actually let you anticipate. Signs of the Battle Frontier appear a lot in the opening. The reason is that during season late 7 and early 8, The english dub began to work on the Pokemon chronicles. That took up some time and by the time they got to Season 8 Battle Frontier had started in Japan so they went grand theft opening on it. I remember I watched ALL of season 7 when I was a kid I remember the first/last ep

It really sucks they switch the voicees I feel like it really disconnects the awesomeness of DP to the rest of the seasons. That very period you just finished is my favourite, easily. Starting at Ash vs. Juan, ending at season 9, is the series of best episodes ever. Also I'd throw in Lucario and the Mystery of Mew; great movie. I watched those approx. 20 episodes in one day,lol. It was fun.

wait then...like usual, the english dub made a mistake. In the opening GB it ends with Chimchar, Gliscor, Buizel, and Pikachu crying out together. That means those three remain throughout the season. Unless... it could be that Chimchar evolves in the Platinum Battle Frontier which would be next season... I mean Phanpy was in the season 8 opening, eh? Also, I think May will return in BF of DP because last we checked she went to Johto, where the Battle Frontier will be. Scott return too?
