  • "The human mind is far to simple for any of this" once the robots take over they will be driving us around in little buses while we lick the windows......

  • @Charley151 But remember, we have to be humane so that they do not turn against us for our cruelty.

  • the communists idea of cities....people are repeating the ideas. The problem is that at one point of time all these "fancy" buildings will look obsolete and strange to people. And in fact some of them are not beautiful. It is Utopia idea. Guys you haven't lived in communism or post communist era. Maybe you need also to go through such thing to see how impossible and wrong it is.

  • @sergiomarchelli I'm afraid there is a semantic misunderstanding here. What TVP is talking about is not any sort of Utopia. A better way to put it would be the best we can do up till now. There are no final fronteirs. Beautiful is also a highly subjective term, with different meanings to different people. If we really want to discuss beauty and get somewhere, we'd have to define our terms.

  • @Nate83657 Yes, indeed. In same way the Utopia 60s Communist Architecture and concept now are so obsolete and strange to people, in same way after years Venus project will be.

You people haven't lived in communism or post-communist time and you just don't have a clue. All the slogans you have are 100% copied from there. And people in same way wanted to create peaceful world without the capitalistic society, where people are equal... :-)))).

  • @sergiomarchelli What similarities do you see between TVP and communism?

  • I want the background music to play and the female voice to narrate me taking a shit. She'll make it sound like it's the most amazing thing ever done and I'll feel proud and powered by the soft flutes and her soothing voice.

  • lol the perfect world for the illuminati after they’re done with us sheeples

  • if this is truely ths case is self defeating, thus is the idea, less people would be needed to generate the need for the controlling factions, then the robotic functions would not be needed so much either since the population could be reduced to a much lower level. so this idea of huge mass producing structure robotics wouldn't be viable. it just shows a balance needs to be found. people and nature and science and technology all need to find balance. not just an elite few controlling the world.

  • @MrChappie1971 There is no elitism in TVP. Please take the time to inquire further if you have interest in a world without war and poverty. TVP is all about bringing in line our lifestyle and population with the carrying capasity of the earth.

  • I like the idea of automated construction, however it's stupid to say the human mind can't comprehend, etc. In settlement projects, or harvesting missions, the order of action would be: 1.discovery through observation, 2.probe scanning, 3.unmanned exploration, 4.automated construction, 5.human arrival.

Because human life is the most precious in this equation.

Planets rich in resource but completely hostile to life, may just host automated harvesting strucures.

The human mind is under rated.

  • @A1R5N1P3R TVP talking about the sheer scale of activities, in the same way that we use computers to track stock in a supermarket, not the human mind, because the human mind is not good enough to do that. I would also suggest that we would find such an activity boresome.

  • @Nate83657 Right, because making decisions and thinking is hard. The only practical application of TVP would be with terraforming or settling new worlds. Otherwise, this is all bllsht.

  • This venus project is such a circle jerk

  • But who fixes the robots when they break down?

  • @Huxang another "medical" robots that are constructed by "big constructor robots" that can also be repaired by those medical who are creating, all this is possible and more, do your deep research.

  • But will this self sustaining system lead to mans disinforming of the machanical world, will we forget how to do these things for ourselfs

  • @rastaR00STER Do you know how to make a TV? Do you know how to construct a car? Would you trust a high rise building that you knew had been built entirely with human hands and no use of measurement devices were used? Technology builds things faster, more efficiently and with a much higher quality than we can do ourselves.

  • Our civilization has enough Viagra. Looks like Bob The Builder 2329.

  • And all this would get rid of people with bad intentions? No.

And the supercomputer in charge of everything. Who's gonna be in control of that? This looks awesome, but could end in a nightmare.

  • @Izahdnb - Intelligence in one specific area. It doesn't mean we give the computer a personality and so on. It's just like a calculator or the computer on an airplane. The computer on an airplane has never decided "Okay...I'm taking over. I'm the boss now."

  • @armanproductions No but there must still be people who control this computer, or at least do some work on it every now and then. So these people can they advantage of that position. I'm just saying it all looks wonderful, in theory.. just like communism did, and we see how well that worked out.

  • @Izahdnb - Good questions. But you have to remember this system can not be compared to any other system that's ever been tried...because...there is no money. Where there is money there is always corruption.

Imagine you live in this system...no money, home, food, any other things you need are all taken care of. Without having to give in to subservience or trading or barter. ALL taken care of. There can't be corruption because there is no money. You can't rob a bank. (Continued)

  • @armanproductions If money can corrupt, why cant it motivate. If strategic agents can engage in planned obsolesce, why cant strategic agents break agreements that would result in said agent having higher discounted cash flows. How will scientists choose tradeoffs that are utility maximizing ... cancer research food research etc if there are no pricing mechanisms to demonstrate their relative desirability over 100,000+ other alternatives.?If you are of sound mind, you must ask these questions.

  • @Izahdnb - ...You can steal...but everything is available to everyone...so what would you do with it? You can't sell it.

Remember 95% of crimes now relate to money and accumulation of wealth. No one would have a reason to tamper with anything or take anything from anybody or live in fear that what they have will be taken away.

But please...ask any more questions you may have. But try to think of a specific kind of bad behavior or corruption and what the motive would be. Thanks.

  • @armanproductions What choice do I have either than stealing or committing suicide to effective escape a global RBE. Remember a global RBE, by definition, controls all the worlds resources. There can be no dissent if a true global RBE is to exist. What if the vast majority dont like it? Can they vote it out//can they trade if they want things that cannot be supplied...........oh yeah elections and trade are eliminated. Why dont you see how crazy this is?

  • @axe863 We can look at everything from the perspective of our current system. A million questions pop up. OR....we can look at it from the other side. Let's imagine you live in one of these circular cities...you have a nice place to live, all the food you could want...and everything else such as transportation and education. Now...what is it that you are not happy with?

  • @armanproductions I cant believe that you took the time to type this nonsense. What if I said to you... Why dont you believe in the magical unicorn under your bed? ... imagine you can live in clouds...you have a nice place to live, all the food you could want...and everything else. Look at it from the other side. Its only 1+1=2 or less than 100% energy efficient because of our current monetary system. You're stating as fact something that is unproven and impossible.

  • @armanproductions Singular core cities with ever densifying concentric circles are great for two things creating logistical nightmares and spreading diseases (look up complex networks [scale free networks] and epidemic spreading). Under a single core system, all functionality may be lost under aforementioned conditions... these are some reasons why multi-core cities are far more efficient.

  • @axe863 This is a non sequitur. A global RBE cannot force you to consent to anything unless it has a policing system. Nobody can force you to take the food that's in abundance, or live in a highly efficient home, or whatever else you might dissent against. Do you think you have a say in the world economy we have already? Can you dissent to any level of trade with any effect? If you mention large enough numbers, the same applies to a non-policed world economy as well -just with less resistance.

  • @axe863 I mean, all I'm saying is that the kind of economy works like a non-reprisentative democracy, in that the people come to a consensus about important projects for the whole species and environment, as opposed to reflecting individual self-interest. This way allows the necessities to be provided for without making anyone suffer for it. I don't understand the point you're trying to make with this paragraph.

  • @barrylyndon21

You don't need money you only need resources.

Money is a product of requiring labour, if you remove the need for labour you remove the need for money.

  • I had the sound muted, just watching it for a moment, I swear I linked it to the "Thunderbirds" of the 1960s. Maybe the author could produce a better video, it's a bit rickety like the keystone cops.

  • I think this can work. The only hard part is to get the money to start the project

  • i find this video difficult to self erect at

  • i find this video difficult to self erect at

  • very very old!

  • I too have a self erecting structure. Sometimes it self erects even when I don't want it to...

  • @glynch55

I knew there would be a comment like that :D

  • First of all..the track that is playing for this presentation is downright mesmerizing. As a gamer - and I'm sure other gamers would recognize this too - this tune could wonderfully accompany some memorable level in a good game.

Now...yes...ofcourse this is where we SHOULD be at, as a collective here on Earth.

Therefore I say: BRING IT ON, I'm ready to GO! I'm just waiting for everyone else to wake up and climb aboard.

'Cause this is going to be one train trip you DON'T want to miss...

  • YOu know it is for humanity's best if this is designed by people for free. When concern for other is on the line, work becomes ten times more in thought. When money is in your mind, you lose concern for others and seek to do better for more money. Jaque Fresco, the founder of Venus Project, speaks about this very well on how the economist today is not a REAL economist. It's good to keep this in mind. Spread the word.

  • while I can see many good points to the venus project we will loose our instincts after a while and if the system colapsed somehow we would not be able to cope

  • @skyfrog696969 Lose our instincts? That is impossible unless we made eugenics legal.

  • There are some very good ideas here, but automating construction seems like a bad idea. Lots of people like to construct buildings, and would be upset if a robot took over what they love to do. I know it's not a great comparison, but the builders of the pyramids, who were not slaves, were paid just beer and bread, and they seemed to have a good time competing as teams of builders.

  • @supertarget76 It is only getting rid of the manual labor involved in construction. Designing the building and the technology of the machine would be a lot more fun in my opinion.

  • reminds me of genetics. The way are body takes food and changes it to its needs.

  • Design a robot having the same abilities as a human being, and using it to work from a distance using a surrogate, while just sitting, thus allowing for all labor to be performed with 90% less effort?

Visit vpforums.webs.com to talk about this and more. :)

  • its cool and all but i keep getting the feeling im watching an episode of the Thunderbirds

  • If human being can't understand the complexities of things anymore, how is it that our technology can? Aren't we the flawed being that can't understand things? Then what makes you think our flawed technology can?

  • @manicmetropolis There are those here for this purpose. Actually, the technology that mankind has been using and inventions are not human inventions at all. This is a much more advanced race of beings and they come from higher realms. The "humans" that share this advanced knowledge are here to, in human form to teach and build the new paradigm and share this knowledge with humanity. The real matrix is what humanity has been living. The awakening and revealing is NOW!

  • Great thank you

  • thanks
