Fable Was What Got Me Started On Gaming. I Remember Me being A Little girl Playing This Game. The First Time I Played this it was like i was on weed, it was really that amazing! and the soundtracks match every moment of the game. Truly even if this game is how many years old its one of the greatest games ever :D
I kind of think the first Fable was the one that felt the most like an RPG, and the others were Hack and Slash.. Not saying the others were bad, but I think most people who like Fable are RPG fans, and don't get the same feeling.. Also nostalgia is the answer to everything..
@Imfunkay Ya fable the lost chapters was a really good RPG, now that i think about it fable 2 and 3 were just run here this button does that and this button will do this, use them together, this one was my fav cause it was more like pick a skill and use it, or die trying, and it was jam-packed full of quests, and side quests.
I think they were trying to advance the series through the ages like in the industrial age was in fable 3. I have no clue what 2 is supposed to be set in. But stop trolling about the latest fables being crap! If you don't like them, keep it to yourself!
They moved the fable series to far ahead into the future to the point where you can't make a new fable game without completely disregarding two or three. It was better without guns and all the futuristic shit and now its too late to change it
@EaTaesse It was odd mechanic in the first fable where you aged every time you bought a spell. Something with believing that magic users ought to look older or something. There is a way to change that mechanic, or make it so you get younger every time you buy a spell using Fable explorer =D Go Fable the First!!!!!!!

That was probably the only really bad thing about the game, as to the point where it actually became something negative. I was always lazy when it came to sacrificing people, dragging them through the woods. Much easier to just give away money. Damn it, I really have to play this again.
Fable 1 not only had a better story, better fighting, better music etc. than it's sequels, it also had an atmosphere I've never found in any other game before or after. Melancholic really, a constant dreadful melancholy and I loved every second of it, can't describe it with any other words. I have to play this through again soon.
Fable one was great and took a new direction in the RPG genre, but they just kept going down hill. It seems they keep getting more steampunkish with each new Fable. I suppose that isn't terrible, but it just needs to be done right. Before you know it though, Fable will end up as a Sci-fi space RPG game. Beam swords, ray guns and magic from the ancient times of other planets that still runs through your veins as a hero sort of thing.
Does anyone else feel that when you listen to the music it reminds you of another great game series like Medievil? I noticed that when I played Fables I-II-III. Different worlds of course, but all are awesome games with really cool soundtracks that are similar.

Sigh...I know Lionhead aren't going to make Fable 4 any better. Just worse. Do they actually have common sence? Just please for the love of god don't fuck up Fable 4. Make it where you actually DIE. Make the game more DIFFICULT in general, and most of all MORE spells and MORE weapons! The amount of weapons in Fable 3 was a joke. What ever happened to augments as well? Fable is tumbling downhill.
I loved this game. Good story, great gameplay, very nice how personalized it feels to every good/bad deed we do. But what a shame it was only about 12 hours of gameplay. Wish the other two were as good.

I have an idea for how loinhead can right the story and bring back the good days. Just have Theresa use the tower to wish everything back to the way it was. Problem solved.

Fable 1 was just Epic. But the Fable Games after the first one... well they weren't... how do i say... they did not even catch a single fragment of the Epicness the First Game had.
So many little thins I loved about this game. The fight club, fighting the White Balverine, hitting the Guild Master then listening to him threaten to break me. Good times.
One thing Fable 2 and 3 have taught me...invincibility isn't fun. Remember in Fable 1 where you could actually die, and not just lose experience? Remember when each battle was actually a battle for survival?
Fable 1: I lost! NO! I'M DEAD!
Fable 2 and 3: I lost! Oh well, I can get that XP back in 3 seconds.
Lionhead, please, I don't want any cool new features in the next Fable, I just want the game to actually be a freaking challenge. Is that so much to ask?
@HybridD91 Yeah, but at least you could actually die, making you put some effort into fights. In Fable 2 and 3 you could just stand there, not even bothering to dodge attacks, since you couldn't die. I mean sure, you get a scar if you die, but in Fable 3 you can get items that prevent scarring (I think you can get similar items in Fable 2), meaning you could be a goddamn suicide bomber, and stil survive every battle.
@RedM555 I think Fable 3 was actually the hardest. Frankly, I've been playing Fable 1 for years and have never even see what it's like to die. Given that I'm stacked with resurrection vials constantly, I've never fully kicked it. In Fable 3, the stupid lack of a health bar aggregated me to no end, making it very difficult to know when you'd be knocked down. While I agree that not dying is stupid, canonically, continuing Fable's death mechanics would be impossible in Fable 2.
main reason i loved the first fable, theres other heros around you! ur not the last one left like 2 and 3. u have an on going competion with whisper, and u fight thunder, and jack, and theres briar rose, and maze... it was just cool. it built an epic story.. the other 2 failed to do that.. no epicness in those games. (dissapointed face)

Fable 1 was sucha rare and powerfull game that, as a gamer, i have learned to love and respect as time goes on....the game makes you feel like your doing more than just playing xbox. It's truly remarkable and I hope the creators relook their position and understand what players and fans truly want...another mesmorizing game like fable 1....im sure thats probably asking a lot. But I'll wait..even if im 40 years old and fable 45 comes out on some crazy console..I'll buy it and play..only hopeing..

Fable: The Lost Chapters introduced me to the more open-ended PC role-playing games. It's world was small but the sheer diversity of characters and the things you could do were extensive. The music, the art, the lore... practically everything about that game was amazing.

@shashelasse Actually you just asked for a game in that genre "that is fun", not fun and relaxing. In any case, Fable was said to be a Morrowind killer, and it really fell flat on its face. It was a good game in the end, but most of what it promised to do never came to fruition. And Fable 2 was just plain bad, and I don't even wanna try Fable 3.

Fable 2 and 3 are cool and all, but in my opinon, 1 remains the best one. There's something...lacking in the last two games, an element that was somehow magical only the first one had.

Although overall I felt like they were pretty good games, I'm gonna go ahead and list my gripes. As if anyone cares.
1. Too short
2. Small zones and lack of sand-box-world
3. Limited armor options
4. Magic system was too simplistic (Although I think Fable 1 did it well)
5. Story doesn't change depending on characters morality (1 and 2)
6. Again, too short and tiny world.

main reason i loved the first fable, theres other heros around you! ur not the last one left like 2 and 3. u have an on going competion with whisper, and u fight thunder, and jack, and theres briar rose, and maze... it was just cool. it built an epic story.. the other 2 failed to do that.. no epicness in those games. (dissapointed face)

Fable 1 was sucha rare and powerfull game that, as a gamer, i have learned to love and respect as time goes on....the game makes you feel like your doing more than just playing xbox. It's truly remarkable and I hope the creators relook their position and understand what players and fans truly want...another mesmorizing game like fable 1....im sure thats probably asking a lot. But I'll wait..even if im 40 years old and fable 45 comes out on some crazy console..I'll buy it and play..only hopeing..

Fable 2 and 3 lacks all that made the first great. the style, the dark atmosphere, the musik is more dark than the entire 2 last games.
In this one if you are melee, you actully get a badass big Arnold Melee character. not some skinny kid.

I personally think, instead of them having made a fable 2 and fable 3, i think they should of just made a new Fable: The Lost chapters. Just the same game with perhaps some new added content after the dragon jack of blades saga. Made it for the xbox 360 with up todate graphics aswell as having online friend coop :D That would be my IDEAL DREAM fable

Fable: The Lost Chapters introduced me to the more open-ended PC role-playing games. It's world was small but the sheer diversity of characters and the things you could do were extensive. The music, the art, the lore... practically everything about that game was amazing.

It was a good game in the end, but most of what it promised to do never came to fruition. And Fable 2 was just plain bad, and I don't even wanna try Fable 3.
