  • Poirot is without doubt the number 1, remember he solved the crime while sitting in the chair?

  • I believe you messed up. Professor Layton clearly is second on the list.

  • You'r absolutly correct... Jerremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes is the No 1...

  • Poirot´s stories are better than Shelock Holmes´ storiesss everrr!!! >: / And you forgot Auguste Dupin.

  • Batman should be here

  • L is my favorite!!!

  • you forgot edgar allenpo's dupin then. edgar is the father of detective stories

  • WHAT?!?!?! PROFESSOR LAYTON IS ONLY NUMBER 7?!?!

... he at LEAST needs to be number 2... because no one can really beat Sherlock Holmes...

  • @megaLaytonfan you're right no one can beat Sherlock Holmes but I still think Conan should be number 2 or 3 after Holmes of course

  • Uh Hello?--Inspector Gadget?

  • This is a great list. I don't recognize number 4. What's she from?

  • @bobx9000 She is Miss Marple, a fictional detective created by Agatha Christie who also created Poirot.

  • @Pepinhas Thanks.

  • You only showed 3 great detectives Sherlock Holmes , Poirot , and Columbo.

  • where the hell is se7en????????

  • I would Add NCIS at the first....NCIS comes on CBS tv, It is the best I have ever watched...

  • pink panther...ARE YOU SERIOUS/?????

  • wheres batman!

  • @Qwerty7502 in hell...i mean seriously, 1 semi-insane wanker dressed in a rodent suit hardly befits the title of detective...

  • Yeeeaaaahhh! Layton!

  • what anime is Number seven??? can anyone tell me please

  • Monk is an american rip off of Poirot.

  • CONAN KUN

    XD

  • I see "L" and Conan , your list is invalid.

    change L to Arsène Lupin

  • Anyone else miss Gil Grissom on CSI? I do!

  • I totally agree with these top ten! Sherlock, Hercule, and Gil Grissom! Nice top ten!

  • Steve Martin does an absolutely terrible Clouseau

  • Agree, but i havent seen the other pink panther movies when i made the video.

  • @Pepinhas Oh I see.

  • Columbo is #1

  • 9 and 8 are my favorite, Monk needs to go to Japan and solve a case with Kudo, or maybe Shawn Spencer go to Japan

    I love mysteries

  • What about Patrick Jane (The Mentalist) ? He is not detective, but still....

  • Great series, but if i would include him this would be a top 20

  • Monk should b #1 and Brenda lee Johnson from the closer should b #2:) my oppinion

  • what is the anime ranked at number 5

  • Its death note, i recomend it

  • Poirot's analysis are more complex

  • I would put L in the 2nd Position! Poirot is the 3rd!

  • Hooray for Layton & Conan :3

That list of yours is awesome ^^

Sherlock definetly deserves beign number one.

  • yeah, poirot should be first from my point of view, but great top:D

  • batman was the greatest and remeber thats what they called him DETECTIVE

  • i know that for some batman is the greatest detective but i see batman more like a superhero than a detective, but that´s only my opinion.

  • Well, I'm 100% agree with number 1 ... Sherlock Holmes is my favorite fictional character of all time (that of Conan Doyle's books, not the new film) and Jeremy Brett is a great actor.

    Sorry for my bad English.

  • poirot should be number one

  • adrian monk should be in top 3

  • Thx all for the comments. The order of the of the list isnt all about the best at solving misteries or crimes but also the most entartaining (for instance i think we all know that Culombo is better than Inspector Clouseu and that Adrien Monk should be in the top 5 maybe), i did this also to include some crime solving characters that were new and from other tipes of show´s and even video games. But i guess i´m very serios in the last 3. Thanks

  • thanks for fitting in the classics (the original Miss Marlpe, Hercule Poirot, and Jeremy Brett as Sherlock Holmes)

  • I would put adrian monk in 4th

    but I respect your opinion

even though I haven't heard of most of these detectives

  • Great list!

I am not thoroughly well-versed in all of them, but I know Columbo, Miss Marple, Hercule Poirot, and Sherlock Holmes paid attention to the tiniest of details.

  • For me personally, the greatest detective of all time was and is Hercule Poirot. It's your project, but I still liked it. Thank you and greet. :)♥

  • He he he... of course Sherlock and Watson would come first. YAY for Poirot being second - and having Miss. Marple in there! XD

  • i know it's stupid but ever heard of agent pendergast? and also there is batman

  • Well done ^^
