Yea both are them shoots really beautifully. Regarding the "correct form" thing , i feel yea its true, there isn't a correct one. One more example is though both drop their bows, Frangilli lets it drop quite freely, whereas Marco seems to be
having more grip on his bow than Frangilli. Correct methods may not have a definite ans, but i think it can be classified as easier and harder method.=p
It is amazing to watch them shoot. Both are so consistent it is unbelievable. As for the "correct" form, there is no correct form. If you can do something consistently after each and every shot (within reason of course) then just change the sight to compensate for it. I personally would not move my head the way Frangilli does, but it works for him.
Frag was getting better shots until he got distracted by the position of his shoulderblades and started thinking about it too much. Both are exceptional
their hands move away from their chins on the release showing that they maintain the tension right through the shot. that IS the correct form. Besides, if its wrong, then its wrong but even so they still obviously shoot a lot better than you , they are world champions after all. I can't shoot like that with the "correct" form so I bow to their superiour talent.
HA yerr im sure your better than Marco...who is the olympic champ...keep telling urself that their styles are wrong..HA...this is not from 2007 it is form like 96 or something.
Their form is wrong?!?! Do you know who they are? Plus, there really isn't a "wrong form" of course you need to have certain things in your form to prevent inconsistent shots, but the best form is the one you feel comfortable with.
That was Di Buo, brilliant match. Frangilli was distracted by his clicker or something in that one too. Pity cos most of his 10s were consistent in that they were going into the same hole, marco was just shooting telephone poles..
Telephone poles yeah, but he didn't seem to get too many line cutters. He won and his arrows cost less than half as much. He just had his shit together in a big way on the day.
No, hawkmoth, at that level of competition 119 to Marco means he had one arrow out of 12 outside the 10 ring, and Michele had more. 116 is a very good score, but out of 12 arrows shot, a margin of 3 is a big difference.

119 - 116 big difference.

Do you really know how small that target looks like at 18m
hawkmoth1983 5 years ago
Sure do, hawkmoth. As a compounder, I am used to shooting at a 20mm inner 10, but the 40mm regular 10 is still very hard to get.
blfrom 5 years ago
Ahh just wondered as to me that is one very close score. Once you factor in the pressure of the event itself.

Have to agree, Smee. What is it with the draw of Michele? certainly "heretic"! But great archery.

Now thats what I call a Final. Marco (Olympic Gold Medalist) and Michele in a shoot off. Wish I could have been there to see it in person.
