The Kalash are currently considered to belong to a unique genetic cluster isolate. This does not mean that they don't Greek (Ionian) or Macedonian roots, it simply means that the Kalash have preserved a genetic profile that may have disappeared in Europe.

You're welcome; P.S. just to summarize, Kalash may have preserve some pure Greek genes that belonged to Alexander's warriors. These genes are being studied because Kalash are reputed to have an unbelievable amount of stamina & toughness (something noted by ancient Greek historians about many of Alexander's men). No they are not; Kashmiries have more Indic genes than even punjabhis, upto 85 % where as punjabis max out at 72% (the rest coming from the Eastern Europe/Causus Mountain region). And even Pashtoons have a higher Indian Gene component at 88% than punjabis, only 12% coming for Eastern Europe. Iranians on the other hand have 50% European/Caucus genes & 50% Indic. I think that these people are a mixture of greek and locals for 2 reasons mainly. The slavs (and the other balkans : bulgarians, albanians, gypsies ...)have darker natural tan than the greeks, so the kalashis who are lightly tanned must be of greek origin and mixed with locals.If they were a mixture of slavs with locals, they would be darker, almost like asian people.
