I think he just wants a father figure in his life, he was scared of losing him to that woman, and, since his view of the world has been warped so much due to his past experiences, he thinks he will be abandoned if he's not sexually pleasing, it's actually very sad that his mentality has come to this.
just seen this movie in full for the first time yesterday. An excellent story of a boy seaching for love and a man scared he'll be like his own, scared to give his heart. Well worth watching
Well... I never was raped or touched, and when I was a 13 year old boy I fell in love with an older man... so deeply... he was like 38... And well... he didn't touched me at all, but I wanted him to.
I just totally KNEW he was gonna do that to Boon, I was just waiting until when he would finally. I didn't think it would be out of desperation, honestly, and that makes it all so much sadder! WHY DID BOON JUST STAND THERE AND NOT FIX IT?!?! Well it was funny that he stopped him just to get his coat, but then really stupid that he let him go even still...
I just think he wants a dad. All those saying he wants a boyfriend etc are kinda twisted. He's just been warped because his mom made him have sex with guys for her drugs. He doesn't realize what normal relationships between adults & kids are like. Its fine for a boy to look up or idolize some older guy he thinks is cool but he thinks that sex is the way to express those feelings which it isnt. Like with the beer, He thought not asking was the issue. He didnt realize kids dont drink at all.

this is my theory y he tried to have sex with Boon,please feel free to argue with me as i want other pple's opinion abt the film : He does not have a dad,and everytime he sleeps next to an adult man its for them fucking him,so he somehow finks its wat he gotta do,Sadder is the fact that its the only way he finds to make Boon stay close to him,be a "woman" to him and offering him wat he's always been selling in the past-a desperate attemp to feel some human warmth
@Orphara It's more of not really knowing better. I'm a molested victim and when it happened to me, I just thought it felt good and it gets addictive. Nathan is a smart kid though, he probably does think that the only reason that Boon wants him around is for sex. Being young and molested, especially not knowing if it's right or wrong, can really confuse someone. He's probably also use to selling himself for money because his mom is a drug-addict and she used him for that.
