This show FAILED because they tried to do so much. Morph into other cars/trucks..HEAVY on the CGI, not enough Michael Knight Sr., and it being a Mustang. Mustangs ARE cool, but not EVERYONE likes the mustang.

i miss the show 2 it was the best thing on telly nbc should of ignored the bad press and carryd on it would of been a hit after season 2 the story line towards the end was getting really good and the scripts were getting much better

@warriorscat545 Trouble is, the producers wanted to turn kitt into a transformer with all the morphing and lighting effects. They had a great car to work with that a lot of power to do some spectacular maneuvers and they barely used it. It turned into a CGI show, and the lack of simplicity is what killed this KR to me. Just my two cents worth there.

I TOTALLY agree with you, the 1st season was unbelievably, the best move that i ever seen, but i saw those episodes from this intro, they are all part of the 1st season, not of the 2nd, and yeah, btw I WANT SEASON 2 TOO, WE ALL WANT IT :))

Awesome intro, it's just a shame they're not doing the second season now as this would of been such a brilliant way of opening it. The style of it and, of course, the music fit in really well with the past credits etc. Good job :)

The original Pontiac was awesome enough. It had futuristic curves and a long swooping styling (for the time) and when i was a kid watching it i was convinced enough. This piece of rolling dung looks like a Detroit reject.

I'm sorry i thought it was a program about a guy with a computer integrated super vehicle...didn't realise it was yet another excuse for tired old nationalism...yawn. Yeah well ok, then why not something like a Saleen S7? It's American, it looks the shit, and you could suspend disbelief enough to imagine it's advanced enough to maybe have all that sci-fi tech. But the car they've chosen doesn't look like it can even corner at high speeds properly! Utter junk.

the original was about nationalism ... and as far as the car....neither was the pontiac trans am. it was like the mustang... affordable sports muscle. . viper cant be used.. it was used in a tv show allready that had a morphing car. the camaro is allover transformers.. and gm is the real reason a gm car wasnt used.... that left ford. well you got the mustang and the gt... the gt .. is a tad expensive to be using in show production. that leaves the mustang. deal with it. it was a good show.

The problem is the car looks like an utter piece of crap. Kitt should be a Koenisegg or a Lamborghini. something slick looking that doesn't look like it fell off the back of a GMC truck.

Koenigsegg and Lamborghini are not US cars. Knight Rider is still an US show, so it had to be a US car.

Besides, I didn't think it looked bad. It just wasn't a supersportscar.
