Marty or someone please help me ! i thought i had barring down until i wanted to move onto this...i can play barre chords when i put shapes in like E major/ minor and A major/minor but actually barring the A to High E strings i cannot do..the D string in particular keeps muting..should i just keep practicing and pushing harder or what should i do ?

I've been playing longer than I care to admit. Long before there was YouTube anyway. I cut my teeth on the pentatonic minor (standard blues) scale and bumped around in the dark feeling out things that felt right or wrong in a given song until I more or less mapped out the neck. (typically less)

Your 3 - 5 minute videos have given more clarity to my playing than I could have figured out on my own ever.

I think yellow ledbetter didn't make a pearl jam album because it sounded so much like a hendrix tune! Great tune, I've seen pearl jam a bunch of times and I've seen them perform that tune as well!!! thanks for the kind words!
