  • Great video, except that Windows 7 is the motherfucking SHIT.

  • It is commonplace to see a Mac user running Windows on their rig, but I've never seen a PC running a Mac OS. Just sayin'.

  • @Tecanuva Thats actually because you can't. Mac OS X (original from the store) doesn't run on PC hardware. And it's also illegal to do so. There is an article in the Mac OS X license agreement that says that you can not install Mac OS X on hardware that's not provided by Apple.

  • HAIuhIUAIUhUIAHuiHIUAhuiHUIAhIUHAIUHUIAHUiHUIAhiuHAiuHIUAHIUHA

  • Big point: Apple bundles load of shit into the Windows version of iTunes. They probably want to ruin our PCs so we get a mac...

  • omg u guys are morons!.fuckin PC fanboys. i like both mac and PC and i think that they both have advantages and disadvantages. all u PC asses are just angry cuz your computer has had so many problems.and by the way macs can run all the software PC's can and for a stuff they cant, all they have to do is load up windows vista on there mac(which comes free on all macs its called boot camp) and surprisingly vista isn't shit on a mac. it actually runs better. hows that for a kick in the nuts!!

  • @icraigslist

If it runs better you might as well install Vista over Os X. Oh wait...

  • these mac ads are pathetic! all they do is make the mac developers look insecure for 'trying' to make windows/pc look bad.

hang on i'll brb, just want to buy a mac so i fit in with the hip artistic crowd.

  • Omgzoton, I couldn't agree with you more.

At this stage, people really just by the logo, but then this could be said about a lot of brands. I think I will stick to my brand, which is small still, but reliable.

Every person I have met though, wants to fit in with the artistic, small niche which is Mac. I think I rather sacrifice popularity, for availibility, and compatibility. very well said though, your comment made me laugh.

  • I liked how PC changes clothing styles to reflect the era....meanwhile, somehow, Mac remained a smug hipster douchebag even in 1991...what does that say about Apple?

And yes, I'm a PROUD PC fanboy. Suck it Mac Fags.

  • and this shows the level of "PC fanboys" (if such thing even exists...)

  • LOL so true

  • desperate much?

  • wow the new mac is here and its not going to have any of the problems that the last os had, oh wait, yes it is. Mac is such a flawed os that many mac users actually have to dual boot it with windows just to get compatibility

  • over 50% in some markets

  • There really isn't anything cool about being smug.

  • do you now what you talking?

  • let me rephrase that

APPLE COMPUTERS have regardless of there great looks have had an amazing amount of manufacturing errors over there time, not software bugs or viruses, my iphone cracked half way through the back cuz i left it out in the sun. They told me it was cuz of a error on there part and with a 37 dollor fee replaced it

  • i hate apple and macs :(

  • you are crazy

  • Windows has improved over the years:)

There were a few truly sucky versions like ME and Vista, but XP is WAAAYY better then 98 and everyone EVERYWHERE is giving 7 really good reviews:)

At least I've not seen a bad review yet...

  • loooooooooool

ha ha ha pooooor Microsoft !

  • Funny, when Microsoft did a milder version of a Apple attack ad (Laptop Hunter), Apple threatened to file a lawsuit on the grounds that Microsoft is displaying false information about Apple Computers.

    Haha, such hypocrisy.

  • Complete nonsense, Apple never threaten Microsoft because of the time based errors they had in a few Ads. Microsoft was simply asked update those Ads and they complied.

    SO QUIT LYING.

  • lol they pretend to be computers

  • does anyone else see a connection between this and what happens with most politics in high power? (ex: american presidents)

  • so that explains why OSX has only had 5~7 service packs (per os) and 10 os's compared to microsoft which has had 8 OS's and 3 spk's per os

  • hahahahahahaa

  • Best ad ever and true!

  • arrogant a**holes. I'm glad I don't have any of the problems Apple users have. Like not being able to run most software...

  • Oh? Which software is it that you think we can't run? Gimme a break.

  • he probably doesn't know, that if we really HAVE TO, we can boot up with Windows ...

... if we REALLY have to...

which is funny, haven't done so in about a year :)

  • @danieldudek85

Bootcamp boots up WINDOWS. Emphasize on WINDOWS, because you're actually using it.

  • But keep in mind, Macs run a lot more software than WIndows PCs. Macs are universal machines, they run everything, they aren't limited like Windows or Linux.

  • Sure. Keep on dreaming!

Macs run windows software through either virtualization/emulation or bootcamp. either way you need to install windows on your mac.

  • yeah, but very few people ever do, the Mac is just so much nicer that switchers rarely getting around to that point. no mac users have the need for windows, it's just the people moving up to Macs that might want it for a few weeks. they can use their copy from their old machine, or use a torrent.

you can use virtualbox . org which is free, so there isn't any expense in doing it.

or run crossover which allows you to run most windows software without windows.

  • @Tnoy34rt - Where do you get your information? I know for a fact that between 30-50% of Mac Users actually buy Windows with their Mac. I have this information from a large Apple distributor. I had to go there to give them a Windows training because so many of their clients are now running Windows.

Forget Virtualbox etc. Bootcamp 3.0 comes with native Windows 7 driver support, even for 64Bit on latest MacBook Pro's - now that's what I call a good bundle of nice hardware and a great OS!

  • where is this "fact"? please show me the reference.

you might mean 10-20% of windows switchers buy parallels, vm fusion and run their existing copy of windows on their new mac, but i've never heard of a mac user going out and buying windows to run on their mac... what would be the point?

and nobody is going to consistently use bootcamp. it's too much of a hassle to switch back. windows is now see as "utility" software, where a few people run it from time to time for one little last app.

  • Tnoy, windows is seen now as Utility software?

I wouldn't be surprised if Windows 7 has passed OS X marketshare already.

Using the most well regarded marketshare research, even if you take the averages of all hit sites, Windows is still strongly in the 90 to 100% range of global marketshare.

Just to run a few little apps. get out of here, OS X is worthless for anything other than desktop publishing and video editing. 90+% want a c o m p u t e r.

Those things that make life easier?

  • On Macs it is, not Windows. The use rate of switchers using using Windows after a few months on a Mac drops to the level of a utility is what I'm saying.

Yes, but Windows is mostly used in low duty situations like cash registers, factor terminals, glorified typewriters, game machines, etc. Very rarely do you see a Windows machine used to the level of most Macs. The reliability, OS and software just doesn't lend itself to complex tasks.

Sure you can limp along with a PC, but they aren't Macs.

  • wtf are you talking about there is so much more software on windows

  • not really, there are about 26,000 apps on OSX, 69,000 apps on Windows. and since OSX apps are always more modern and polished, the software library on Macs is quite a bit better than what you can find on Windows. Add in the fact, Macs run MORE software than Windows machine, and you'll pick a Mac every time.

  • when you mac lovers can play all the games i can then you can buy me an overpriced peice o shit apple computer and i will use it

  • Macs play all PC games, so what is your point?

And no, Macs are priced about the same as similar PCs nowadays. The era of expensive Macs ended around 1998.

Learn how to shop... this will get you started....

    macprices . net

  • do you even know what you're talking about? windows is limited in what sense? kthxbai mac fanboy

  • it has very limited ability to run OSX software, no access to high quality hardware, so you are pretty much stuck if you are still trying to run Windows.

Macs are the professional choice if you are into modern computing, Windows at this point is only good for Games and Cash Registers.

  • Huh macindrew? I can't run OS X on my PC due to the onerous licensing Jobs has on the OS. I would not want to anyway, nobody uses OS X except for dumbasses with small dicks. Yep, paid 3,000.00 for this 17" MBP so I can do email and browse the web. Nobody uses OS X in business....well art departments and desktop publishing, but it's just for 50 year olds who lust after shiny objects.

Windows allows me to actually automate thousands of things...you know...what a computer is for?

  • @christianhaberl I know. I use a Mac and I can't find a compatible version of Space Invaders either. =(

  • Owned!!

  • heheheh :P

  • it's super!! :)

  • lol
