point you may want to consider is reducing the track of the chair. As it is several doors are quite narrow and any extra width will make entry more challenging.
I myself use a rigid chair and am trying to get strong enough to be able to pick up the chair and bring it inside my car so i wont have to buy a mini van again in the future. Please make sure your design is as light as possible.
