What do you mean by doing a top-stitch/how do you do it? Please forgive me ignorance, but I'm not too great at sewing, but I do want to add that finishing touch to my jeans.
Maybe it is harder but you will get the best results. If you just outline some skinnies on some flares it can result in multiple alterations instead of a one time deal. This is way more accurate and efficient.
I love your simple, easy-to-follow instructions. Do you think you might do a tutorial about taking up the hem of too-long pants? Is that hard? Thanks!
I can see only one problem with your tutorial...not everybody is as stunning as you, Liz! But, maybe with this tutorial I can get my pants to fit a little more complimentary. You might consider how to add to a garment. I have a great t-shirt that I need a little expanding through the arms and side seams. Thanks! CDS
You could totally do it with a needle and thread! I would sew the stitches close together like a sewing machine would with a thicker thread. Then you wouldn't have to do it more than once! Good luck!
I have some ridiculously loose fitting jeans, and your tutorial was awesome help! Now...I don't own a sewing machine, but I think I'm pretty thrifty with normal needle and thread. Should I get some stronger thread/needle? Should I go over it a few times?

Are you using normal thread and a regular walking foot for this? Or are you using "demin" thread? Great tutorial, by the way!

This technique is so much harder. If you put a pair of skinnies over a pair of flares on the floor all you gotta do is outline them
