If you ever get hurt onMUNI, get a bulldog lawyer who is not cozy with the SF City Attorneys office. The streetcars travel way in excess of the speedlimits so they could have more break time.

Wow, way too many people think this is somehow hilarious. I don't get it.

You can see the guy in the white shirt who was sitting down on the left side started getting up from his seat just before impact. Because of this, he hit his head really hard on the metal pole. He could have suffered a concussion. I don't find that amusing, but apparently a lot of people do. And they wonder why I'm so cynical sometimes.

the San Francisco Muni light rail train had rear ended a light rail train ahead. the same incident had happened on July 18, 2009 that resulted in 50 people injured and it is currently being investigated by NTSB. the light rail trains have a computer system that should be on automatic all the way till the light rail train arrives in the station platform. it is usually light rail operator error that cause rear-end collisions.

What did this rail vehicle slam into??

It (N-Judah) slammed into a stopped T-Third train at a red light in front of him. Train was clocked at 17mph in a 3mph zone. Some are saying he may have been on the phone... while he is saying the brakes gave out (you see the lights flicker right before the crash), but you'd figure he'd brake a little earlier than that if he was paying attention.

I love the guy writhing on the ground just behind the operator's door... the operator steps over him then goes around asking everyone else if they're ok (Actually in his defense he was probably just running through getting a tally of people for rescue officials, not actually trying to help them until that info was passed along)
