Jailbreaking can only harm ur device if you download more than 1 package that affects the same thing, also if u download too many random packages it will cause the device to lag, so jailbreaking is only harmful when it is not used right.

the only way u can get problems in your iPod is if you install 2 packages that affect the same thing. example scrollingboard and infinidock or infinifolders. that will basically fuck up your folders, multitasking bar and dock but can easily be fixed. if an app is unsafe for your current firmware then it will crash therefor delete the app and it's data. if the apple bootlogo freezes while jailbraking that means the retard tried jailbraking his/her device with th wrong firmware, like trying to ja

well here it goes... GOOD: Customized themes, app icons and sounds, free apps, movies and music. BACKGROUNDS!! lol BAD: Cannot update firmware unless you restore. MAY make ur ipod/iphone slower (it depends) and it may be complicated to jailbreak (depending on how u do it)

the people who say ther ipod/iphone froze dont know much about jailbreaks... theyre confusing it being frozen to it being in the conect to itunes picture(aka DFU mode) that is known as a tethered jailbreak which means when ever you turn off your device you basically have to "rejailbreak it"

it is safe as long as you use the right video and also it is impossible to brick an ipod touch because you can always unbrick it by just pressing the lock and home button until it reboots just use tysiphonehelp jailbreak
