to iterate further on that point, halfway through the game zero has almost 2k minerals and about 200 gas pretty constantly. the mineral onlies really didn't give him much of a strategic advantage, more of a tactical one upon reaction to the 14cc
sure, it was 5 base zerg, but it was still only 2 gas zerg, i think that the biggest factor in this game was leta anticipating a ling+drone offensive in the beginning that never happened; instead zero went 3hat before pool and was incredibly far ahead
lmao gotta love ZerO's IU intro...perfect transition from Three Days Grace.
Can't REALLY take anything away from Leta except for his major indecision on 5rax...but he should have at least sent dual SCV scouts to the corners early on, pre-mutas. First thing Flash would do, to be quite honest.
Haven't felt this bad for a meching Terran since skyhigh vs Jaedong on Desti.
Leta's tvz is almost perfect, when he can pressure early and then transition to mech. But this map just makes it too easy for zerg to defend expansions.
Wow! What a game! Zero even did not need to destroy the back door to terran base. I wonder why Leta was waiting for siege tanks to destroy the back door of Zero's main base and two other hidden expansions, why not with marines? So far zergs are unbeatable on this map in ZvT. Can't wait to see Flash's game against good zerg on this map!
@hangshan1 indeed, they are stacked! Downloaded the map tried to kill with marines, i don't know how many temples there are, so it is impossible. But 4 firebats with stim kill the temples pretty quick!)))
@odiumisfun I do have an idea what I am talking about, but how often do you see drone rush -> 5 bases in pro games? One time in what,2-3 years? And yes,I do know that Zero played awesome game, but early game was more like ICCup than proleague.
A perfect game is where both players are constantly exchanging blows and it is not apparent who is on the lead until one player exploits his opponents mistake in a very tight window of opportunity, which leads to victory.
When it is obvious who is winning from the very first 5 minutes it is not perfect. It is called:
The whole "I can't scout early game and neither commit my forces to attack an expo, I guess I'll just run my rines around" thing is what looses the game.
He knew there was no real muta threat at the moment, since Zero did not harass his scv's nor actively killed his rines. There were plenty of opportunities for Leta to kill an expo, he just could not commit. When Leta finally woke up and started playing it was already too late.

@one4aJIb I think they are stacked temples, so only units with splash damage can destroy them xd

then you have not seen D-rank iccup for a long time. there is macro and micro in this game, even if the whole strategy doesn't stand out too much...

Very,very strange game. I thought I was watching ICCUP D-rank TvZ :D

There, all better.

this is higher than A+ game in iccup. Everything is perfectly played, it's just the strategy that Zero uses that is odd
xunap 2 months ago
@xunap Yes,I know. It looked like d+ game to me only because of strategy.
