great beatles cover.first time i've heard this version was in 1990 when i found the45 to this.like it since then.the beatles version wasn' t release as a 45 until 1994 as part of capitol's jukebox single series(which it was released on green vinyl).great posting.

Underground Sunshine was actually from Montello, WI (closer to Madison than La Crosse). They were managed by Madison radio personality Jonathan Little, whose sister, Jane, was in the band. The song peaked at #26 in BB and #19 in Cash Box. They're covered in my book, "Do You Hear That Beat".

Yes, Last Draft was from La Crosse. They are in my 2nd WI book, "On That Wisconsin Beat". I'm surprised to even see them mentioned. Are you from WI?
