  • If only my home renovations were that fast..

  • I love watching the purple cleaning lady go around and around and around and around and around

  • In my opinion, it is more practical to build another one stadium..

  • @AmpoTheKing Yeah ur right man, everyday doing this is much more work!

  • This is obviously fake, not that many people go to raptors games

  • @hbkkbh6h8 this was a while ago

  • @hbkkbh6h8 The Raptors were a playoff team in 2008.So many people go to their games.Suddenly they suck now Canadians would rather watch hockey.

  • Can they transform the Leafs and Raptors into good teams?

  • wow...this is simply amazing I go to the ACC all the time but I never knew that much work goes into every game. Just wow

  • nice video!

  • now, how long does that actually take?

  • The sports were invented by the French, not canadiens. Also I'm pretty sure vikings even ice skated.

  • @itsericnesbihal you are simply a retard with a keyboard. thanks for proving it.

  • @smudent2010 okay asshole, enlighten me than. why dont you tell me how shit went down?

  • Impressive! Greetings from Zagreb, Croatia

  • I thought that there are two sports arenas then 1 -_-.

  • Wow wicked !!!

  • Looks like it took ten hours. You can see the time-of-day at the top of the screen.

  • @denelson83 it can be done in less time, there was a Stars game today that ended at 3:30 and that same day there was a Mavs game at 7:30

  • @hockeyfreak84 Yeah, but when they do, it is done with twice as many staff working and they typically are working on the set up all the way up until the first people are coming in the doors.

  • @hockeyfreak84 Same with Staples Center; Kings/Blue Jackets game this past Saturday finished at 3:30; the Clippers were practicing by 7 with the game at 7:30.

  • Am I the only one that thought they had two arenas for each one?

  • @Dimitrius096 probably.

  • Damn, a basketball court is actually small.

  • Both sports are invented by the Canadians =)

  • @handsomejustin well....thanks for hockey anyway

  • i wish zambonis went that fast.

  • 8 hours ? that's fast :D

  • why are people talking about the military while this video has nothing to do with it

  • Shut up and enjoy the video God look at the lower comments STFU

  • Did anybody notice the clock on the farr top? That shit takes for ever to do, holy shit.

  • Yall are fuckin stupid. The white boards are some what made of wood. Jeeze, people are stupid if they didn't know that.

  • Hockey>Basketball

  • Its crazy how much work goes into just 1 game

  • man huge probs to these guys working their ass off GO CANADA!!! USA SUCKS.. no offense

  • @igotnhl08 HEY! WE HELPED YOU TO BE A COUNTRY!

  • basketball>>>hockey

  • @holymoly15 basketball sucks balls compared to hockey.

  • @JamesD567 Lol Hockey blows. I'd rather watch curling.

  • @holymoly15 Well that makes sense, your probably a complete idiot. Most niggers are. Seriously what a dumbass you have to be to respond to that comment, LMAO!

  • @JamesD567 LOL calm down bro, it's not that serious.

    P.S Hockey still blows! HAHAHAH

  • @holymoly15 your mom blows and so does basketball.

  • @JamesD567 your mom blows more and so does hockey.

  • @holymoly15 LOL, and you're from canada? wow, you must be a complete reject.

  • @holymoly15 Hockey blows? Thats why it's the most highest paid sport right? Yeah thought so. Thats why more people know about hockey then faggot ass basketball? Thats why Hockey has more fans, and actually the only sport who plays when injury? Yeah though so. Thats also why, it's the most dangerous sport in tthe U.S.A. and has contact. You can't even get fined for. Yeah okay. You're dumb as fuck. Hockey is a tougher sport then basketbal & football combined. So fuck off queer and quit trolling.

  • @JeremyLaysDying Highest paid sport hockey? AHAHAHAHA

    More people know about hockey?AHAHAHAHA

Hockey has more fans?that is the biggest AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The average NBA salary is DOUBLE that of the NHL(check forbes)

LOL 300 million NBA fans in China. Canada(where hockey is most popular) has a population of just over 30 million. The NBA fans in China alone out number ALL hockey fans.

    Basketball > Hockey

  • @kemoblue4u 300 million basketball fans i China? Ptt... Basketball is only "big" in the US. Hockey is more of a world sport (and if we're talking world sports, football (soccer) is even bigger).

And only when we're talking soccer we can talk about really freakin' high salaries... Christiano Ronaldo (I don't like him but anywho) makes about 3 times as much as the highrest paid NBA-player. Get your facts straight!

  • @Aaberg720 Saying hockey is more a world sport that basketball is the absolute DUMBEST thing I've ever heard. Outside of CANADA/US and NORTHERN EUROPE where its cold as fuck VERY few play hockey.and no shit, soccer is the most played sport in the world. LOL What does this have to do with soccer anyway? FAIL!

  • @kemoblue4u I'm failing only 'cause I'm arguing with trolls (like you)... My point is that you can't compare a sport to another based on the salary of the top players!!! God damnit it's very individual which sport you prefer. I enjoy both basketball and soccer but I love hockey. That's how I feel. You might not feel the same thing and I'd respect that if you weren't such a douche :D

  • @Aaberg720 Im the troll? LOL YOU initiated contact with ME you idiot. I dont want the respect of a LYING piece of shit like you. Lol if youre going to lie AT LEAST make it believable. LMAO hockey is more a world sport? ahahahahahahahahaha

  • Comment removed

  • @kemoblue4u I hope that even you understand that I only wrote what I wrote to provoke you and other narrowminded idiots who think that you can convince people that one sport is 'better' than another based on the number of fans in China (<- wtf, seriously? xD ).. And by the sound of you I succeeded as well :) Now please, go and fuck yourself!

  • @Aaberg720 Me laughing at your idiocy = provoking me? AHAHAHAHAH!!! You wrote what you wrote because you're an idiot, plain and simple. Only an idiot such as yourself would believe what you wrote. LOLOLOL And go fuck myself? Such harsh words, by the sound of it YOU seem provoked AHAHAHA, sorry I'm not as stupid as you are, try someone else.

  • @kemoblue4u AND I TO CAN USE CAPS ITS SO COOL AND IT MAKES MY POINT SO MUCH CLEARER AHAHAHAHA LOLOLOLOL YOUR AN IDIOT LOLOLOLOL HAHAHAHAHA

  • @Aaberg720 Attempting to dodge the bullet by changing the topic? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHA, do I need to point out your blatant spelling mistakes as well Mr. Idiot? Nice try though, we both know you're pissed. I owned you! AHAHHAHA!!!

  • @kemoblue4u.....and to add on to that. In the last year NBA star Kobe Bryant made an estimated 53 million, Christiano Ronaldo? 38 million. LOL What happened to that 3 times the nba CRAP you were talking about? LMFAO get YOUR facts straight fool. IF you dont believe me go check forbes highest paid athlete for both soccer and basketball. Christ do some research.

Oh yeah and I found a few sources noting the 300 million basketball fans in china YouTube wont let me post links. RESEARCH next time.

  • @JeremyLaysDying

Did you get all your facts from bullshit(.)com?

  • @kwark1223 Nope but real men play hockey and sissy men play basketball and football. Hockey is the toughest sport out there right now. Seriously? you try and get in the face by a frozen puck thats up too fucking 100 mph in the eye or in the nose and get stiched up and come back out and play like they do. Those guys don't play around. They get injured and they come back and play. Football or basketball players get hurt, the whine and cry like a baby and dont play the rest of the game. So yeah. :]

  • @JeremyLaysDying

    Real men play Football.

Do you mind me asking if you are Canadian?

  • @kwark1223 Nahh football isn't to much of a contact sport anymore. Real men join the military instead of playing sports though. Nope i'm not. I'm from the U.S.

  • @JeremyLaysDying Lol what? Football isn't a contact sport? And what does the military have to do with this?

Do you know the average life expectancy of a football player is? 52 where as a hockey player is 60+.

I think you really should check your facts. And just for the record, I live in Canada.

  • hockey>basketball

  • Cool!

  • That looks hard to switch between ice arena and basketball court but its an impressive architectural building, respect to engineers

  • stupid question here, but how does the ice not melt

  • Cool footage. Didn't know they simply just build over the ice. Thanks.

  • I think it was realy editing in 3 mins :D When i start watching, i see it fasted :D

  • In MSG the ice is taken off and the boards are put on. Then the ice is put back as squares. Its really cool. Because i went to a knick game and then an hour later was a Rangers game.

  • wait, the ice is installed in panels? how is that possible?

  • @Nateview20

No, they covered the ice over with them grey panels!

  • @Nateview20 Wow.....

  • @Nateview20 lol no they put a fabric over the ice that maintains it temperature enough not to melt

  • holy shit

  • what section is this on?

  • haha! There were more ppl at the hockey game!

  • @Sweetyfashonista Theres more seats in a basketball game then hockey so calm down.

  • @iGotThatSwaGGerZ i know that... but even with the extra seats excluded, theres still not more people at the hockey game , and im only talking about the game thats shown in the video.

Im in no way saying that basket ball games are always like that...it was just a comment dude.. so you calm down.

  • Does Annyone know How long it really takes? because this is Verry Amazing to watch!!

  • @koffiemokie About twelve hours.

  • how tall are you ?

    is 5'10 good for basketball?

  • @TheLeilisa For the NBA no but for street ball sure the best at that height for the NBA would be point guard.

  • @TheLeilisa For the NBA no but for street ball sure the best at that height for the NBA would be point guard.

  • @347qwerty

K they DONT put ice over white boards! Idk where u heard that stupid idea. I heard how NHL rinks do it by and NHL ice worker, and they actually paint the ice, but they do it in layers with a special paint.

  • @iggych1512 to paint the ice white you mix a white paint powder with cold water and do a hose flood 2-3 times to get it nice and white then they put about another 5-6 floods over that before they start laying in the lines and logos

  • @Shangraw101 yep that's what I heard. they do it in layers and add lines logos later.

  • @MsBryanfreeman - It's underneath the ice deck.

  • I have real easy ways to grow taller naturally.

    Watch my channel.

  • i love the clock on the top shows how long it takes

  • The leafs should try keeping the hardwood on we already no how bad they are with the ice myswell save some work and give er a try ;)

  • I'm kind of confused though, i work at a hockey rink and when we put flooring down for concerts and stuff we only do one flood, so why would they put two floods on the ice before they lay the flooring lol

  • @Shangraw101 because it is a nhl rink and what the ice to stay in the best condition possible so if you have one cut the ice then wait for the water to freeze then go over it again then you get a smoother cleaner surface

  • i had no idea..

  • The people look like little ants

  • @kalasnikov47 Mozart - Eine Kleine Nachtmusik

  • Awesome music- Bach? Beethoven?

  • Leafs suck!

  • lol the maple leafs game is full and the raptors game has a lot of empty seats!

  • Thumbs up if you ended up just watching the cleaners.

  • Wow that was pretty amazing to see how that all goes down.

  • wow bball court is hella tiny

  • AIR CANADA CENTRE DONDE TOCARA ROGER WATERS EL 15, 16 Y 18 DE SEPTIEMBRE DE 2010

  • @jorgealbertobaron2 YEEE I WENT TO THAT SHOW

  • This is cool! I like the way that the nets at the end of the rink get "folded" or something and raised by the lighting truss... that is cool!

  • Never would have guessed the ice is tiled, I always thought the obvious, that they flooded the arena and froze it over a few hours.

Also I saw the seating at the bottom disappear the suddenly reappear (clip is too quick) where does it go and how does it come back and be able to stretch further across the arena?

  • @kpsuk

it isn't tiled, they were putting boards OVER the ice to keep it cool and maintain it.

  • shit that would be awesome to do for a job

  • little ozzy is a faggot

  • cool

  • this is the air canada center in toronto

  • @storeflack no shit

  • вот эта тема. не знал!

  • Near 8 hours? Why does it take so long? I know the RBC in Raleigh take's a little less than 2 hours

  • @TC163 I imagine the time from ice to BB court depends very much on how many workers there are. I saw another video where it looked like they had more people to work on the transformation and it was quicker.

  • I want a job doing that

  • wow awesome video. :)

  • do u have nba to nhl thanks

  • so crazy

  • good job dad!

  • cool

  • i kind of found it surprising how much the basketball court was smaller than the ice... but i guess that makes sense

  • @H1N1iSiT imagine a basketball game on a rink sized court lol

  • @H1N1iSiT yeah me too. I mean, even an icehockey rink isn't really big.

  • @H1N1iSiT ik i was like holy shit

  • it gets so much darker in there after the ice is covered

  • for hockey, aren't there boards under the ice? jw

  • baahahhaha.. what the fuck are u talking about rofl....

  • like u know the logos and lines, arent there boards that have them on it and the ppl put the ice over it. cuz i know they dont paint the lines and logos on the ice

  • Actually the old way they still hand paint lines and logos. Crazy...

  • really? wow

  • Comment removed

  • @motoxkid71 Yes, they DO lay white boards down with the hockey markings on them. After the boards are in place, they simply freeze a quarter of an inch of ice. The ice is not melted until after hockey season ends.

However, the old fashioned way of doing it is to freeze the ice, paint it white, lay down string to mark the location of the lines, freeze another layer of ice to keep the string in place, handpaint the entire rink, then freeze over still ANOTHER layer of ice to seal the paint.

  • @347qwerty ohh ok. thanks dude

  • @347qwerty your very wrong! its all painted no such thing as white boards with markings

  • @burnuts007 you are half wrong. Some arenas paint on the ice, and other arena's, like madison square garden, lay down boards with markings on them and flood the rink over the boards.

  • @Captaink11175 no im not wrong buddy... it doesnt work like that!! are you in the ice business?? the answer is no!! if you were u wouldnt have made this stupid comment!

  • @burnuts007 watch the video WPIX: Knicks/Rangers Time Lapse

watch this and tell me I'm still wrong smartass

  • @Captaink11175 your still very wrong! those are the same as ACC they are thermo mats that get put over the ice so the basketball floor can be put down on top! i dont understand how u can comment when you have no clue! tell me you know for 100 % you have seen it first hand! you cant becuase they dontdo it like that! just give up buddy!

  • @burnuts007 are you a woman by chance?

  • @Captaink11175 every rink in the NHL AHL what ever rink in the world paints there ice

  • @347qwerty hey there smart one the ice is only 1/4 inch to 3/4 inches thick... and in the nhl they dont use string they have premade mesh lines that they just lay down then you have to pebble it so that when you use a hose to flood it the paint/mesh doesnt move

  • @Shangraw101 That's exactly what I said, DUMBASS. Read my comment again. Please go jump off a cliff. Thank you.

  • @motoxkid71 some lines they do paint like the big circles and the hash marks and the centre ice logo other ones are mesh like the blue line, and no they do paint the ice white there is no such things as boards that you put on the ice. my proof is experience working at a hockey rink

  • American Airlines Center can convert from ice to boards in a record setting time of 2.5 hours.

  • i think the rbc center beat that time for going from the hurricanes to nc state basketball

  • This was all manual transformation... american airlines is not 100% manual transforation..

the leafs just spent millions to convert the ACC from having to do it manually to semi manual with motors for things such as the stands and what not... that is why it takes the ACC so long.... it dosnt take 1/3 as long this year 2009 as 2008 did...

  • huh, thats weird sometimes they take the ice off and sometimes they dont take the ice off, weird lol

  • Modern NHL arenas never take the ice off.

  • sweet :)

  • Thats incredible ! As soon as the hockey match is finished they are starting to make the basketball arena. No doubt after basketball is finished it is straight back to hockey. Never knew they put the court over the ice. Plus they need to build extra seats. Incredible !

  • weird; staples center in L.A. can do it in like 4-5 hrs.

  • how many minute they put the court

  • wow no time inbetween. hockey, change, boom basketball. people start comin in b4 they done.

  • cool

  • i think that they fasforded it

  • no shit lol

  • cool

  • thats cool

  • Decent found!

I've never thought that they do it like that.

  • now isnt that something

very unique, always wanted to see that

  • Wow, that's really special.

    Thanks.

  • where did u find that
