Some of these scams are here on YouTube! They often promise a full episode of a TV show or a full movie that will say go to example.com to view this video!! example.com will appear legit at first, but then, prompt you with these exact same survey!! When I attempt to close the window, it comes up with an "Are you sure you want to leave this page?" I always then go to task manager to keep it from accesing my computer or information.

Yeah I got infected with it.... and another similar one: It tricks me into pasting a javascript link into the address bar and then hitting enter.... then I got a prompt for taking a survey, and another ad for this CPAlead thing, which is what the cybercriminals use to give that survey lock thing. I 'looked behind' the prompt and sow it was only available for Firefox and IE,(Look, no Google chrome and Safari!!)

A lot of practical social networking goes on there for those who are serious about it, and people find contacts there who get them jobs later. I think it's less about "Facebook is evil don't do it!" and more about using common sense when coming across obvious scams such as these. Facebook isn't inherently dangerous; if there's info you don't want shared, don't put it on your page in the first place.
