  • Personally I don't like push button start because you'll have to go back to the dealer for replacements and they costs hundreds of dollars !!! Don't be fooled by this gimmick ... I also don't appreciate when a car gets bigger everytime they get a redeign, now that the Jetta is so big for practical city driving / parking.

  • FAIL.

  • You can listen to your music from your iphone/ipod devices over Bluetooth in the new VW systems. Its under auxiliary in the menu.

  • is this guy retarded with the whole key thing... read the owners manual doofus

  • you are sooooo stupid........

  • I have a black 2011 jetta sel

  • @DeutschPorsche do you like it?

  • @DeutschPorsche How do you like the car?? Are you happy with it??

  • Yeah, about 7 years ago I had a Nissan that had push botton start where no othr cars had it yeat beside infiniti.

  • @tootsiejoon honda s2000....

  • @tootsiejoon i saw a 49 caddy with a push button start. push button start is actually 1920's technology.

  • @dstarks80 Yes, I think you are right, now that you mentioned. I also remember some cars had pull botton start...

  • This is definitely the best car in its class beyond compare. It looks better & drives better than most of the compact sedans.

  • @omerio100 knock knock Ford Focus 2012??

  • The key is for locking the glovebox.

  • if there's no hole for the key, then what would happen if you run out of battery... lol

  • The solution to your iPhone issue...

    1. Use the auxillary jack, so if you MUST text and drive or being a passenger you then have it in your hand.

    2. Use an dedicated iPod for your music instead. Never have to put your phone out of reach.

    3. Get Blue tooth packadge, hands free saves lives and would allow you to place your iPhone in the glovebox.

  • He said he did not like the fact the I Phone was in the glove compartment because he could not text. I thought that was dumb. Just use the cars bluetooth and hook up an I Pod in the glove compartment to keep in there. Ya the texting problem is solved. So many down this car because quality went down but, we have to remember there's no competition. No car in this class is comparable with the quarks.

  • If you get a text while the phone is in the glove compartment, who cares. Big deal. It is for connecting MP3 players. Nobody told you to connect a phone with an MP3 player feature to it. Next thing you know, they'll start adding garage door openers to these phones and this guy will complain about having to get the phone out of the glove compartment in order to open your garage. People need to stop complaining and just learn to adapt. Don't be lazy/stupid.

  • The comment about the connection in the glove box is not necessarily a quirk. The 2011 Jetta has 9w7 bluetooth which allows for streaming and handsfree use of your phone... thus, there is no need for it to be in the glove box (if you have an iPhone). The only time one would need to use the connection in the glove box would be if they are using some other form of mp3 player (in that case use the aux input) or some ancient phone that doesnt have bluetooth.

  • @leekadams

What streaming? iPhone does not allow streaming of music thru it's bluetooth technology. It is only for the phone function.

  • @ApexIXMR - - - - It sure does! I have seen the streaming first hand with an Iphone 4 on the VW 2011 VW Jetta.

  • @leekadams

I forgot about the "Airplay" feature on the iPhone now allowing this to be done. Whoops, sorry.

Since I've posted that message, we've already purchased a new 2011 Jetta like the one in the video with sport package. Awesome car btw.

  • I think VW messed up with this one. Their cars always held value to people as something DIFFERENT, and had a 'german' driving feel. By making the car cheaper and more in tune with what VW THINKS the American market wants, is a big mistake. Solid rear axle...you gotta be kidding me!

  • there is a hole in the door i have a 2011 jetta.... its under a cap

  • VW had gotten even more boring and ugly, not far behind Toyota in the ZZZzzzZZz.... department. VW strives to be number 1, just as GM did in the 20th century, many of the GM cars of the 90's and 00's are/was so bland and cheap that it made the Japanese cars look good... Tough times is changing for GM and the other American manufacturers, VW should avoid that trap.

Also when will you have a in-depth review of the new Chrysler and Dodge models? The new Dodge Challenger 392 is so mean and brutal!

  • VW has taken a step backward with this generation of Jetta with its design. It's near identical to the 2011 Kia Forte.

  • @lidoj0njon Please note that we have ZERO interest in your opinion if you can't express it without being a total comment troll. All mean spirited comments will be deleted and you will be blocked...so don't even bother.

  • @romanmicagearguy suck it! oh... you already do.

  • The previous Jetta was a very good-looking car to my eyes. This one is not.

  • It has a key in the door, you just have to push the cover off of it.
