  • HELP PLEASE ASAP!!!!!!!!! when i use the "jump to postition" it does'nt work!!!!!!! Even if i made the x: player.x And the y: player.y It says: ERROR in action number 2 of Step Event for object Gun:

Error in expression:player.x position 1: Unknown variable player

  • @Filipnils1

"player" is the name of the object. It moves the gun to the position of object "player".

Either rename you object to "player" or change the varible jump to position to

    X: "player object name".X

If it still doesn't work download the gmk in description.

    Y: "player object name".Y

  • Thanks!

  • can someone please tell me FUCKING ASAP!!!! NOW!!!! WTF HE TYPES IN VAR at 8:45!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i need an answer now!!!!

  • @codydalla

    canfire

  • Okay, my arms doesn't stick tight to my character, it kinda flies around it, it turns and flips right, but it rotates wrongfully, it's off of my character

  • I have lite edition. It doesn't let you do the image_angle thing, but I found ways around it. It's not as easy, but it's possible. Great tutorial

  • @asuprisedmuffin Hi, I'm using the lite edition, too. What did you do besides using image_angle? I don't need a detailed tutorial, I can figure it out mostly. Thanks.

  • @Pigaliciouss Watch one of the videos that teaches you how to just point it at the mouse w/o flipping it. It uses the same code. When you draw you gun, make four sprites of the same thing. Rotate them so one faces right, one up, one left, and one down. For the up one, make sure the bottom of the gun is on the left side, and for the bottom one should be 180 degrees opposite. Read carefully. For each sprite do a rotation sequence of 90 degrees counter clockwise-

  • @Pigaliciouss -Save all but the one that starts by facing right as strips. Click on the one that faces right. Click 'add strip' and add the three strips so that it rotates a full 360 degrees. IT FLIPS!!!. When you make a gun object, just put in the code that makes it face the mouse into the 'step' event. There you have it. For the bullets you make it rotate 360 degrees and do the exact same code, only add a line and type something like:

'image_freeze' or something like that. I'll make a video.

  • That background music used by most youtube video enthusiasts might be a tad bit overused but this was helpful as hell! I'm using my sister's account now but later I shall comment on this using my own account! This was just the thing I needed. 5 out of fucken 5
