I was sitting on my couch thinking of all I could, there was a song playing I understood, So I stopped and turned it up. The rest of the world just stopped there with me, we all had a laugh and left reality. Maybe I saw too much to understand, but ever since I just don't care. The secret to me is no secret at all, I laugh instead of cry and I know that's how it goes. I just heard this on the radio, almost 20 years to the day. I started smiling then I cried, I felt beautiful and free.
@ymerej33 I love those moments. Where you just laugh at life, because it all just seems so funny. Not a lot of people understand it, but once you get to the point where you do, it feels like the most simple thing there is.
One of my favorite songs. I was really hoping they'd play it at Riot Fest East but they didn't. Still I've been waiting years to see them and it was amazing!
So... a guy taken to another world, leaving everything behind... and a supercomputer from which is learned the answer to the ultimate question of life? Hm. Makes me wonder if Douglas Adams was a Dead Milkmen fan.
Love the dead milkmen, I only wish youtube would leave the damn video's alone. They keep taking down video's that I want to see and hear. Yet they leave 129 copies of punk rock girl....
@iHaveGeekStinkBreath David is my uncle! i miss him dearly even though i never met him once. my mom told me he was hoot growing up with round the house. Kurt and Joe, her two dick brothers would pick on her, and david would defend my mommy as she's the oldest child and took care of them all when margie (her mom, my grandmama) and david (the father) was at work.
Energy sources without the need for fuel or energy input exist ,But the powerfull Oil business won't alow common ppl to know this,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Free yourself!
I noticed a tone of "sellout" in the history of the Dead Milkmen. I think this video kind of adds to it, but the 90's seemed to be rife with it. Looking at the vids (not just of this band) it seems like the 80's ones were fun and amateurish and creative and the 90's ones were overly produced and wannabe funky. I still really liked this album, there's some great melodies in there...
@ianc2674 I place Soul Rotation down the scale as well, but it did grow on me. I guess you can't catch lightning in a bottle with every album. But even on their worst day the Dead Milkmen were still awesome. Kids today can find out about them on Youtube. What a great band to "discover" online. The music is still fresh today. I got to see DM twice back in the day. Everyone sang along and those shows are two of my favorites ever.
@sxephlI considering it was recorded in 1984, nothing like it was really done, I mean even Sonic Youth, didn't have it together, it's really ahead of it's time from a sonic writing stand point, and the cure was still experimental at this time too.
@jshkendra I have this on vhs and that is not Jamie Farr.. but I think its the same guy from the Violent Femmes America Music video. This fact always puzzled me.
@lookshin66 whoa dude, wats up. im the guy who asked asked for the hazel tabs. dont worry im not mad, i shouldve emailed you, but i didnt know you liked the dead milkmen!
