i. Comrade Breshnev ii. Spaghetti eating man (?) 1.Labo - love that voice 2. Lisitsian - I'd recognize that great sound anywhere 3. Frick? 4. ? 5. Filippeschi 6.Svanholm - finally! 7. Martinelli as an old man... 8. Bjorling - not at his best 9. Lida Baarova - just joking of course 10. Feels like I should know this but I don't....he was on quiz 6 too wasn't he? I know his name for sure. Can't figure it out though.
0. Boh... è Adriano Celentano! 1. Labò. Incisione studio con Anna Moffo 2. Ma... ? Non è molto napoletano, questo. 3. Neri in un brano mascagnano 4. Gobbi ancora, un aria antica 5. Filippeschi, ancora da un film! 6. Svanholm, che sorpresa... 7. Martinelli, proprio anziano qui... 8, Bjoerling 9. La Melba? Vecchissima? Mamma mia.. 10. Masini, indimenticabile e mitico. Questi brani sono i più difficili di tutti.
Those losers from the Rec Music Opera forum were told to go here to prove that they actually are the great experts the pretend to be... not a single one of them even dared to post one single guess! What great experts, Handelman, Leonard Tillman and his friends... a big mouth and no clue (not an unusual combination).
Wow,this test is 'molto difficile'. The only one I can take a shot at with any certainty is #8) Jussi B.-absolutely no one else has that silvery, ringing timbre and tone.I will hazard a guess that #1 may be Bergonzi and #10 may be a shaky and unsteady DelMonaco. But as for all the remaining singers,I'm sad to say 'I haven't a clue'. Imogen, these tests of yours certainly make me realize how little I really know about opera singers. They are great fun. Grazie mille Caro Imogen.
Ah, now I know, it is because of the Afro guy and his spaghetti... tricky. More guesses: 01 No idea. What is the damn train doing there? The guy does not sound like a train! 02 I agree with Schlusnus on Bastianini 03 Ruggero Raimondi? Nice music... 04 No idea. Nice music too... 05 Giacinto Prandelli 06 Fischer Dieskau 07 Spaghetti again! But the voice... :( 08 Franz Völker 09 Germaine Lubin when old in bad English. She was der Führer's darling... 10 Arrigo Pola Man, that went bad...
1 Labo 2 Lisitsian 3 Bastianini 4 Gobbi 5 Filippeschi 6 Svanholm 7 Martinelli 8 Bjoerling 9 Sorry, I don't do ladies:( 10 Masini
