Can't wait to see what they'll replace this ride with, to be honest. The stand-up feature was cool and novel at first, but I'll be glad to see this one go. (And WOW, a lot of trees have grown around that area since!)

@mertz19 The Iron Wolf does have B&M trains. And it gets repainted often. If you notice in the video, the track rails are a very light color, but are now painted to match the red/brown of the spine.

i personally think this is the best ride at great america for these reasons,

1. its standup

2. its the most unique ride there

3. it has good loops and turns

4. the line is always short

@ciaridah Sorry but I really don't believe you. A roller coaster getting stuck upside down is a major breakdown and it's always all over the news. Like when demon was stuck upside down. It would be on the wikipedia page for Iron Wolf. And sorry for sounding like an ass if you are actually telling the truth ;). Do you have any proof?

@JakeD7 nope don't have proof since i was only 9 there was no way for me to get proof or have proof and it would only make the news if someone was hurt.so 15 minutes to them is nothing but a glitch. this was back in 97 and since it was only for 15 minutes nobody cared but trust me that happened i remember it like yesterday.. to me it wasn't a big deal cause i was a kid but now as an adult it's not as funny

@ciaridah You're sure you were stuck upside down and not just stuck on the lift or something? Because you can't get stuck upside down and be evacuated in 15 minutes. And nobody was hurt when demon got stuck upside down. Again sorry if i sould like I'm trying to be an ass. I'm just confused haha

@ciaridah since the ride opened on April 28, 1990, there have been no reports of instances where the ride was stuck upside down. The only ride at SFGAm to have ever been stuck upside down was the Demon. You may have been stuck upside down on a similar ride, but not this one.

@geogray1 I am not sure about the Shockwave at King's Dominion but I do know that there was another stand up roller coaster named Shockwave that was at SFMM for a very short time that could have opened earlier. So there is a chance that those facts could be wrong.

Awesome nostalgia! I remember when it was a smooth ride. I was even stuck on the lift hill once several years ago! Now no matter what I get my head banged around, and I hear others say the same. But it's ALWAYS A CLASSIC!!

Too Bad Six Flags Does not look like that anymore. I personally do not think the park is as clean as what it once was. It also does not seem as family friendly as what it once was. I want to see more characters. I want to ultimately see the park as it was in the mid-late 90's
