this phone looks really cool but i am not ready for a phone like this i might just stay with a samsung behold the maybe get this when my contract is up
it's really cool. But I couldn't find the settings and the keyboard was SO SMALL. It wasn't even funny. Maybe you get used to it, or something but it's every button is about the size of the "0" on your keyboard.
Metman19 GSM is like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc the phones have sim cards(smartchips) CDMA is like Sprint, Verizon, etc and the phones are hardwired and they don't have sim cards, so if you wanted to switch phones you have to contact sprint to switch it for you, cause you don't have a sim card you can just swap. Hope I helped :)
Just when i thought i could do anything with my Sprint HTC touch Pro....the Pre comes and makes me reach in my pocket for more money.I must have it tho.
i don't remember an onscreen keyboard, the slide out keyboard is so nice tho- if you have tried the Centro keyboard, these are the same - those keys have a "stickiness" about them
Why would you want to do that on this great phone? Thats what makes the bb storm and iphone so sucky not being able to touch what letter your actually typing...
I think the whole "iphone killer" thing is a misnomer. Instead of trying to be an iphone killer, I think an iphone competitor would be just fine for Palm. There is a lot of market share to be had, and the fact that the Pre is using Sprint as its carrier, I actually think will work for it. What other smartphone can Sprint users buy? That is worth buying that is.
Sprint won't admit it but the Instinct has been a great bridge to the future, i agree, iphone needs competitors and this phone can be it..if palm and sprint are around long enough
who knows how well it will sell, having seen it close up, the OS and the "cards" are quite cool. the phone ran a large number of apps at once and the universal search was amazing.
the phone and specs look great but it has taken so long to release this phone that it's specs have been overtaken already by the new touchscreen phones that have come out since the beginning of this year
Hell yeah im gettin this tomorrow!!

Probably the best demo I have seen of the phone. None of the commercials show off the ease of use.

so how is the physical keyboard?
and can you go on youtube on it? aka does it support flash?
snoopyalien24 2 years ago
it doesnt have a touch screen keyboard
but the fact that people can make new applications for it... its really only a matter of time before we can download one
same thing goes for a videocamera on the pre... it will eventually happen
look back at the other palm, it didnt have a videocamera... now it does.
supply and demand!

I've seen in person the pre's screen next to a iphone screen.
The pre is brighter and sharper.
