It takes a lot for music to stop me in my tracks and, almost effortlessly, reduce me to tears, but this song packs such a powerful emotional punch, it gets me every time.

I don't know whether it's James' vocals that repeatedly rise and swoop down between the loud verses and the quiet chorus, or the marching, mid-tempo beat, or Kamen's genius orchestral arrangement, or just all of these together. All in all, probably one of Metallica's most underrated gems.
