@nijjhar1 torah is the first five books of the bible. genesis, exodus, leviticus, numbers, and deuteronomy. torah means teaching or/and instructions. the 10 commandments are found in exodus 20, as well as the dietary laws, and the laws pohibiting banks from charging interest. the torah was a shadow of the messiah. the pharisees weren't drunk with torah. they were drunk with their talmudic traditions. tradtions which replaced what god had taught from the begining.

It wouldn't be completely accurate to depict Messianic Jews as practicing the Judaism of the Bible. Bible Jews didn't believe in the Trinity, nor that God can become a human being, nor did they believe that human beings inherit an original sin that predestines us to hell. This doesn't mean Messianic Judaism is not valid, only that it wasn't precisely Biblical Judaism, at least not the judaism described by first century Jewish writers like Flavius Josephus. Peace

I am not a "brother" -- I am not male. I was not raised Jewish, but recent DNA tests indicate Sephardic ancestry. Genetic memory could explain my attraction to Judaism, but I see it as spiritual. I feel that "Christianity" as we see it today is missing its Hebraic roots. Because of the unbelief of the Jews, we Gentiles were grafted on to the "root of Jesse"; but when Jews become reingrafted, they, being the natural branches, will become even more of a light to us; this is already happening!

Yes. You are right. I went to a Messianic Church in Reading and a University Professor from Oxford was reading the Old Testament and then referring to the New. These Jews love the Old Testament, their Torah, which is the leaven of the Jews forbidden by Christ Jesus. This professor even proclaimed that Abraham was a Jew whereas Oregin was unable to establish the covenant. They are hypocrites and are bundled up for final burning.

(1) the gospel of thomas neither corroborates the old or new testaments
(2) the old and new testaments are the most reliable texts for proof reading in western literature, they're a better basis
(3) all people hurt and crucified Jesus, not just some that were Jews-messianic Jews repent of that, just like other christians
(4) Jesus fulfilled the the law written by the prophets, didn't forbid it

I am a Christian, and I do not believe Jesus was G-d or even the Son of G-d in any literal way. I believe that G-d uses mankind to forgive mankind, and G-d also uses mankind to punish mankind for sins. If mankind wants to say "do 20 jumping jacks and we'll forgive this sin of yours", then that is possible. And, if mankind accepts the death of Jesus for various sins, OK.
