Downloading and Syncing Tones from Custom Tone

i recently bought the line6 spider iv 30 watt amp. on the box it says i can find some tone settings on the line6 website. i cannot. i have been searching the website and there is nothing about tone settings as advertised.

this is false advertising, line6. please help me find these tone settings on your website as advertised on the box.

@slashzakkkirk you'll need a USB cable connected to your computer. Then you need to install Line 6 Monkey and then download and install the drivers for your Line 6 device. Check out our Line 6 Monkey video and our driver video to see how to do this.

is it pointless to install the same tone into tone 2? to make it more powerful if you press dual tone or is that stupid lol? im new to this. Also. I have no idea how to get (for example) a acoustic guitar tone, and mic reverb tone for vocal at the same time. can you make a tutorial for that? or explain in a message? thank you so much.

@Synthesized13 not pointless at all! Just make sure you PAN the tones a little away from each other so you don't get any phasing cancellation.

I'm using vista but everytime i click on get tone gearbox automatically starts and i can't save the file, even in preferences when i switch off "start gearbox automatically" it still just loads the tone without the uption to save

@billsacrilegeDo you mean when you click Get tone from Custom Tone? Just let Gearbox open and then in GB go to File>Save Tone As and save it then. Does that work for you?

@HugG0T you can download patches that were made on a POD X3 and install them into an X3 Live. Totally compatible.

You can't actually delete tones, You have to create a new blank patch to overwrite any previously saved tones.

In a way. You can use it as a USB audio interface to record directly into recording apps similar to the TonePort.
