zombie, i love ur music. but i do not love your movie remake of halloween. 3 people murdered and a 10 year old boy in custody? dont you mean, 1 person murdered and a 6 year old boy in custody? for carpenter's sake, get the plot right
It was a cool idea but all that Zombie really accomplished with the back-story was making Michael too relatable and that makes him far less scary. The only thing that was really done right was the mask. That thing was BAD ASS

Halloween 2 by rob zombie was so over the top with the gore blood and the language! i saw the 2 but not the first.And they dont even play the main theme in the second one.

I started watching horror 3 years ago, when i was 12, and im so sick of all the remakes and the new bullshit hollywood makes. Only modern horror i REALLY enjoyed is rec, and rec 2. The american remake Quarantine sucked so hard. But im going to watch both the remake of halloween and the classic, even though i know the classic is better.
@RidingMad125 actually, in the original Halloween we really weren't told much about Michael Myers other than that he killed his sister when he was 6 years old and he stayed in a sanitarium for 15 years until October 30th, 1978 when he broke out and started to kill "babysitters" this was BEFORE we found out in Halloween 2 that Laurie Strode was his sister (which wasn't apart of the original storyline). Michael Myers was originally an enigma. Rob Zombie ruined that by telling us, who he REALLY was
personally, i think that this is a great movie, and if this had been a normal movie and not a remake it would have been great. but i think that we can all agree, that by definition alone, the original will never be beaten. the remake may come par with the original, but never beat it

@multibuddhaneo While I agree that the simplicity of Myers in the original made him much scarier, you have to remember he was nothing more than a background character. In the remake Myers is now placed in the foreground. He's now the main character of the film. That is why we get a whole back story. Don't be confused though, nothing in this film tries to explain Michael's evil. It does however, show the struggle of trying to explain it.

The scenes more graphically invigorifying your fear senses while Retaining that creepy John Carpenter mosiac of camera angles and simplicity that makes it Halloween. The family scene. Didn't expect to see that. Great scenes before the break-out, which evidently was left out of the first series, and even though I had an Idea of what to expect over the next hour and a half I was still surprised. Best Remake Ever!

While I'll say this is a decent remake, the second was all over the place. I think giving him a fairly fucked up childhood, and the whole realistic psychological thing, while its interesting, and can b scary I guess. Its not scary in the same way as b4, with the old Interpretations of Micheal. I think sum Iconic characters u just cant explain, and Micheal Myers is defo one of them.

Don't be confused though, nothing in this film tries to explain Michael's evil. It does however, show the struggle of trying to explain it.

@multibuddhaneo The remake brought an amazing updated view of the Psycopath. The scenes more graphically invigorifying your fear senses while Retaining that creepy John Carpenter mosiac of camera angles and simplicity that makes it Halloween. The family scene. Didn't expect to see that. Great scenes before the break-out, which evidently was left out of the first series, and even though I had an Idea of what to expect over the next hour and a half I was still surprised. Best Remake Ever!

@gutzgator23 I agree i was just saying that to someone not that long ago, everything is just too much, too much blood, too much sex, too much bad language, the acting is really overdone, the camera work is always shaky and out of focus, its not whether or not u can handle these things but it but it wastes too much time on shock value rather than telling a good story.

Even though it seems like Rob Zombie is going downhill.......I hope he will get his act together when Halloween 3D comes out in 2012! Never the less, I am still going to see Halloween 3D! Mainly, because Halloween would look freaking badass in 3D! Get it together Rob Zombie! Don't make Halloween 3D into total crap like your Halloween 2 Remake! Make a good Halloween Remake! Not a remake, not even the first of films to come. Just another sequel. When I see a remake I'm expecting it to really "WOW' me. Alright this movie was decent for a Remake! And I say DECENT! It doesn't feel like a Halloween Movie yet I like the backstory and all but it just doesn't have that Halloween feel to it you know! I obviously prefer John Carpenter's 1978 Halloween more! But this movie is decent for Rob Zombie but he definetely could have done much better! Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 Remake was HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! Worst Remake I have ever seen! Laurie was way to fucked up in that movie! SHE WAS HIGH FOR THE WHOLE FILM!

While I'll say this is a decent remake, the second was all over the place. I think giving him a fairly fucked up childhood, and the whole realistic psychological thing, while its interesting, and can b scary I guess. Its not scary in the same way as b4, with the old Interpretations of Micheal. I think sum Iconic characters u just cant explain, and Micheal Myers is defo one of them.

Everyone starts building up for that wait and August 31'st in the biggest day, sayin "Hey, Halloween is Here Again!".. Same token, Hollywood wouldn't want Halloween to run During Christmas and expect the higher revenues.
