  • @MrDookie

How did you learn to do all that in Max9? I have it years and can't do squat with it. lol

  • @CaptainWicker Hehe ... you need to practice a lot ! i'm using max 6-7 years so it would be a shame if i couldn't build a map like this :D , but i can tell you that is way easier than DeleD if you learn the tricks about "Level editing in 3ds max"

  • @MrDookie1982

Did you use DeleD to create the castle? Is this program written entirely in DBPro? I use Blitz3D is why I asked that.

  • @CaptainWicker No , I used 3ds max 9, and the demo is written entirely in Dbpro.

  • This looks like FPSC. Did you use the gun and some textures from there? Very nice job alltogether

  • @agentz100 Thanks ! The level + models and all the textures are 100% my own work !. except the weapon , which was in a TGC model pack...

  • @MrDookie1982 nice, earned my subscription and did you make a full game?

  • @agentz100 Not really...but i planned. The game was called "infested" which was a simple zombie shooter ,survival horror like Resident evil. But Dark basic was very very limited and buggy so i switched to c++ and Directx , and rewrote everything... but i'm really busy with life/work these days so i have no spare time for programming... BUT Who knows...never say never... maybe someday i will finish it...

  • @MrDookie1982 If you do, I want to help test it!

  • you should make a horror game the engine looks perfect for it

  • put a dowlad link

  • dose this have a web player?

  • @TheFlapAttack What you mean exacly by a "web player" ?

  • @TheFlapAttack No, this wasn't made in Unity. So there is no web player.

  • this level is form Return to castle wolfenstein - crypt. You used it because dark gdk and dbp can load .pk3 format and Return to castle wolfenstein are using it

  • @szyfrq1 Yes , but only the idea ! All the geometry and textures and lightmaps are my own work ! there are some map parts that are completely different from RTCW . And DBpro can't load pk3 nor bsp files from rtcw.

  • awesome

  • You are a good level designer.

  • Thanks for everyone !!! i'm currently working on the billboard system . When i finish i will add torches and light halos to the level , and upload another vid

  • did u lock the gun on screen?

  • @Warrior1424

Nope the weapon model is positioned at the camera position. When you lock an object it can't be lit by dynamic lights. (probably another dbpro bug... :) )

  • I'm impressed.

  • I have to to say the lighting effects and model design looks AMAZING! 5/5

  • nice one, i use 3ds max /db pro combo although not played around with lightmaps a whole lot. very nice graphics and framerate. good luck on this project. ill be keeping a close eye. :)

  • what did you use to make the level? are you using standard lights and shadows or light maps?

  • @NightMairs85 i used 3ds max to build the whole level as one big static model (all chairs tables windows attached and form a big mesh) and then i rendered a lightmap for it , using the "render to texture" method in 3ds max. Oh and sorry for the very bad and dark vid quality... i highly recommend to watch this vid in fullscreen it is much brighter then... i will uload a proper quality as soon as possible...

  • @MrDookie1982 ...man, now that i've read that you made the stage with this technique... you're one hell of a game maker. I was totally like "okay okay, with an other Dark XYZ add-on, nice, but everybody's gonna look like this" and then i spotted you made it completely on your own!
