is that a 2.1? i'm in the process of stroking and building the bottom end, so i can crank up the boost on my 2.1. I'm going to try those new TF 2v heads with some custom port work and some more aggressive cams too. I was wondering how many lbs are you pushing? i see you didn't upgrade to the 8 rib conversion. did you go with a bigger crank pulley? I talked to KB and they stated that the 2.1 can handle 18 lbs of boost, but with all the mods you will see less boost than the pulley "claims" LMK!!
in the vid im running 10 psi w/ little to no belt slipage on a 9 psi pully. i have patriot stage 3 heads and trick flow stage 2 cams. kb told me they have done 17psi safely on the 2.1's. but my stock 4r70w trans could only hold about 450rwhp. it bit the dust after about 4 or 5 good pulls. just installed a lentech street terminator+ and 14 psi pully. gonna dyno again soon. and i'll post more vids
The 4r70w is the auto trans right? I installed my KB 2.1 in November 2009, my auto trans lasted 5 races also. The guy who rebuilt it said it was all in the program, not giving it enough pressure at high rpm. KB does not want to help me out, what exactly did you find out when you rebuilt yours? Thanks.
