@Raulizidorojack It sure is, and like so many of their songs criminally ignored by the classic rock radio stations. Shame. That guitar solo alone makes this worth many a spin.
Albert Bouchard always sang his lead vocals like his life depended on it. He has this raw emotional pain in his voice that none of the other members in BOC possess. The songs he sings are always my favorites, Dominance and Submission, Cities on Flame, Revenge of Vera Gemeni, and so on. The band totally shot themselves in the foot by firing him.
I think this songs message is that a guy really wants a relationship a without all of the attachments, just the all of the sinful loving and none of the B.S.
I absolutley loved the guitar sound on this album. Does snyone really know what actual amps were used back then? I know Marshalls probably, but what models, effects? I also have an affinity fo rthe sound on Spectres as well. This one of my all time "Pop it in and cruise " albums.
Actually - it sounds like Buck's 1972 Les Paul Deluxe, quite possibly through Allen's Hiwatt, with just overdrive/compression on it. Ditto for "Vera Gemini" and "Morning Final".

"So take back your despot, I'll keep your love!" Who the hell thought of that line? Does 1:30 - 2:08 rock or what?

For some reason, the opening reminds me of "That Smell" by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
