i looooooved the sweet valley books, grew up on them, and i am NOT hating on this show it is fun. but i always maintain that it should have been more like the ORIGINAL beverley hills 90210, at least then we would see the parents and a longer storyline. (and more serious less goofy episodes)

This is really inaccurate. The book said that Liz was tied to a chair, and the fact that Steven, Ned and Alice Wakefield are no where in the show really takes away from the the story.

But I do remember her being tied to the chair in the middle of this old run down shack. I also think she was blindfolded for a while. Also I don't remember if his name is Peter in the original story. Regardless of this or the original version. I still love SVH and this is one of my favorite from the series. :-)
