  • Sonic rainboom?!

  • I saw one of these about a month or so ago and it was pretty cool... but it was on a day in the 60s so it wasn't cold at all

  • i think its called a fog bow

  • This occured in Florida the day before yesterday.

  • same thing happened today in cleveland, ohio - what does it mean?

  • That looked amazing

  • the plane hits the rainbow, argh!!!

  • halo....anyone with me?

  • Ive seen the same thing over here in Belgium, ive never seen this before. Did you know there are moon halos to? Qiute beautiful!

  • im diggin the creepy music :)

  • filmed on my 16th birthday :DDD

  • HELLO . I HAVE A VIDEO OF A SUN HALO OVER THE NYC AREA ON MARCH 30 2011. amazing.

  • DOUBLE RAINBOW ALL THE WAY DOOOOD!!!

  • thats some stone age shiznit

  • your so cool i want to have babys with you but i am a guy so that is weired

  • thats soo cool i saw sun halo once i took pictures of it

  • thats not rare i see them all the time :p

  • had these in az today.... 3 days of chemtrails, and today 10 dead bees in my pool.

  • I saw a smaller one last week. I was like "WHOA! THAT IS AWESOME!" then my eyes started to water because I looked at the Halo for so long.

  • OH MY GOD WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

  • @BowToMySkill HAAHAHHAA!! OH WOW MAN! SUN HALO AND RAINBOW ARC IN MY BACK YARD. OHHH!!!! IT'S ALMOST A TRIPLE. :)

  • Chemtrails & HAARP

There are white planes that spray our skies every day in every city around the world

  • The rainbow is upside down?

  • It happens when the ice crystals is being reflected off Earth's atmosphere at 45 degrees(+)(-)

  • We just saw one of these types of things around the beginning of this past June here in Pennsylvania. Pretty amazing site to see. Took some photos of it.

  • @xtango02 Nice. Pretty rare for PA....especially in June I believe.

  • " yeah well u was just walkin down the street lookin up when NOMG an uppsidonw rainbow =O

  • I would say this one is NOT from chemtrail spraying, but actually from cold weather and ice crystals. Most of the other videos are chemtrails though!

  • @radialfeilds Definitely...it happened a few hours before a huge snowstorm. There were plenty of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.

  • I live in LA so i barely ever get to see rainbows

  • I saw the same thing in the sky this morning.. Thought that the world is about to end..scary to see.

  • great capture and very rare indeed. i sent you a video response chemtrails 30 Tulsa Oklahoma April fool day, at 3:40, there is a rainbow arc.

  • @RudolfsEasyCooking interesting...

  • @RudolfsEasyCooking Hello, that was amazing to see, right? I know how you feel. I left a comment on your video of the sun halo....it's ice crystals being hit by the sun at a perfect angle. If you Google search "sun halo, rainbow arc, parahelion" you will find some websites that explain this and other similar phenomenon. It's really cool if you want to see some amazing examples and identify what you saw and experienced. Good job getting it on camera!

  • great shooting and thank you for posting it too. i've seen this a few times in the skies of guelph ontario. i'm glad that you saw it and filmed it!!! :)

  • Thanks for the comment. It's pretty rare to see it this far south. The conditions were perfect though. It was several hours before a large snowstorm, so there were a lot of ice crystals in the atmosphere.

  • @greeenpro2009, i really wonder what causes that effect. i must admit that even though it is visially, very pretty, it causes me a lot of worry and don't take it as a good sign.

a couple of times i saw the "rainbows" in a very clear blue sky. up to fourteen of them situated in no apparent pattern. that too is very beautiful too see but also has a very dark feeling to it.

  • i saw the same thing but it was a halo around the moon. It was so creepy and yet so interesting

  • Wow, that looks great.

  • Hey greenpro, what's that music?!

  • is it just me or does the plane shrink

  • I zoomed out :)

  • Music?

  • great

  • My sister said she saw this but I didn't believe here. Now I do.

  • I probably wouldn't have believed her either ....here's some video proof though, like you said :)

  • omg nice shit

  • thanks...I was just at the right place at the right time, ya know?

  • Wow, I've always wanted to see this kind of thing. Going through the comments, apparently some places are more blessed than others. Lucky. Good on you to capture this and thanks for uploading!

  • No problem. Thanks for your comment. Yah, I didn't even know this kind of event even happened to this extent. There are about 5 different scientific phenomena going on here at the same time [sun halo, upside-down rainbow(circucmzenithal arc), 2 sundogs, and that bright area at the top of the sun halo). Hopefully you'll be blessed one day when you look up in the sky and see something like this..prob. sounds funny to ppl that see it often, but it really shocks you if you've never seen it :)

  • it shocked the hell out of me when i saw it the first time, it was at night though, and the halo and spots of light were around a full moon, kind of creepy at night hehe, amazing though!

  • that really does sound amazing!!

  • The happens all the time in Vancouver

  • here in calgary too

  • @binatangmakasalanan yeah pretty much anywhere in Canada.

  • Thats just fogs !

  • man

    i wanna see it myself

  • holy...that is just amazing

  • did it realy look like that or is it just the reflection off your camera

  • lol...it really looked like that. Just Google "sun halo" or "circumzenithal arc" and you'll see other pictures of this kind of event. Thanks for watching!

  • Beautiful!

  • have you noticed they've been happening a LOT lately in the northeast? I nearly crashed last month the first time I saw one.

  • You saw one? Cool! Glad you didn't crash though :) Well, it's all because of the ice crystals/high-level cirrus clouds. This was filmed the day before that big snowstorm, so there just happened to be a lot of ice crystals up there ahead of the storm and the sun has to be at a low angle (which it was). I've been in the northeast most of my life and I've never seen one. I've seen sundogs (just those little rainbow-colored patches in the sky) every now and then, but nothing like this.

  • i saw this where i live...in the sonoran desert

  • really cool!!

  • This is the first year i've ever noticed one - i didn't even know what it was when I saw it. I had to pull over to take a ton of photos - I hope there's more! Never know with this weather, it's pretty cold this year!

  • 0:49

alright is the sun that close or is it the blurness around

  • the sun is its normal distance away, it was just more radiant because of all of the ice crystals/ very thin clouds in front of it (it just looks closer)

  • wow its great

  • Great !

  • saw a very bright moon halo a couple weeks back, was out jogging so i got to see it over a 2hour period. the circle got larger and larger until it faded away.

    quite beautiful

  • These a very Cool and not often seen on video.

The main ring is a 22 degree halo and a 'common' sight with a nice bright sundog horizontally spaced from the Sun.

The arc at the top of the main halo is a upper tanget arc.

The 'rainbow' directly overhead is much less common and is a circumzenithal arc .

    Great !

  • Pretty cool :) we don't get those much here, probly cuz it never gets terribly icy.... We do get double rainbows on occasion and those are really pretty :) once I saw a perfect one (two?); both rainbows conpletely colored and vibrant and stretching out to either horizon.

  • not rare

  • explain why we thank global warming for this......

  • lol people are too brainwashed by the media ...

  • my thought exactly....just blame everything on global warming even tho it happened hundreds of times already

  • Great video 5*

  • This is rare? I saw it all the time when I was younger here in Hawaii (though it was more rainbow-colored), when the sun was in the center of the sky. Maybe that's why my eyes suck now.

  • caused by ice in the air,, which the light refracts, its rare to see since the sun/ice has to be a certain angles to create the halo.

  • the covenant are building the halo again!... god im such a nerd

  • I have seen a perfect ring rainbow that wrapped around the sun.

  • sob7an allah

  • Nice atmospheric effect caused by particles.

  • smog?

  • Nah usually it's water/ice that causes the refraction.

  • Why would people think it's fake. It may be rare for you guys but I see a few of those a year.

  • ive got one on my page, i seen it in my back garden, most amazing i thought it was a commet or summot till i saw it propperly.

i call it a sun dog!

  • Cery cool!

  • wow that´s so beautifull i´ve never seen anything like that

  • oh how beautiful!!!!

  • Great video!

  • Thanks!

  • I believe and u're lucky!

  • Thank you

  • you can tell it's fake, that stuff doesn't happen in canada.

  • It says in the description that it was filmed in Pennsylvania.

  • it fake because a plane flew through it? wow you are a retard planes can fly through light dumbshit

  • I don't post anything fake.

  • TO ANYONE WHO THINKS THIS IS FAKE: Before you cry about it being fake, just google "sun halo", or "circumzenithal arc", or "sundog", or "parahelia" and the list goes on.

@Joshua17404930: maybe you should go outside more often dude. Scroll down in the comments and you'll see plenty of people who have seen this......most of them are in Canada.

  • greeenpro2009, he is trolling, just read his comment. this stuff doesn't happen in Canada.

  • photoshopped

  • LOL...that's funny. You're so confused....

  • I saw that today even. Looking forward to the snow!!!

  • Really? With the rainbow arc too though? Have fun!

  • seen this tons of times, i guess it's rare over there,

  • it is rare where I live, but the rainbow arc, or circumzenithal arc, is very rare (especially as far south as Pennsylvania)

  • Must be project Blue Beam. Or HAARP. Or another faked terrorist attack by none other than the king of all the Zionist lizard men-- George W. Bush.

  • No, just nature.

Faked terrorist attack? That whole theory makes me want to puke. What an idiotic comment.

  • Only sarcasm...

  • Awesome! It's a sundog. Those happen in North Dakota all the time because of the cold!

  • Very cool.

We get sundogs up here, but never with the rainbow. Sundogs usually mean very cold weather is due :-(

  • It was definitely caused by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. We got a foot of snow the following day. I've seen sundogs in the summer before though too, but not a halo and rainbow arc.

  • That is an amazing view. I saw a UFO once back on 2001 wish I had my camera to record it.... PS wheres all the snow? ha!

  • This was shot the day before the snow storm. We have a foot of it on the ground now.

  • that looks amazing. any idea wat this is called?

  • A sun Halo and rainbow ark. It's in the freaking title. Dude!

  • I googled it:

The halo is called a 22 degree halo and the "upside-down rainbow" is called a circumzenithal arc. The two bright spots on the actual halo (one on either side of the sun parallel with the horizon) are sundogs (also called parhelion).

  • yeah i saw this phenomenon once in my whole life i think it was in winter 2004

it was really scary weird and beautiful :S

in the rality it look's a little bit different than the video

    it's really rare

  • that's how I felt too....it throws you off a bit because it's just not what you expect to see when you look up into the sky...lol...it was much more intense and vivid in person.

  • Made it to the front page of Reddit. You should be proud.

  • beautiful...thanks!

  • this is so cool...I have seen it before, I think it is called a sundog or something like that

  • Close; a dog sun.

  • If I remember correctly, you are in Canada, right? I bet you see this kind of thing more often. Ice crystals way up in the atmosphere are a big part of it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • Cool

  • Cool. I saw the most beautiful rainbow in L.A. a few weeks ago and went home to grab my camera but it was gone when I returned.

  • Aww, that sucks. Luckily, I was right outside of my house when I saw this.

  • Thats cool! I've seen anything like that b4.

  • Nice catch. When does this happen? Is this sort of like the northern lights?

  • Apparently it is created by ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. The sun hits them at a certain angle. I've seen halos around the moon before, but nothing like this. The "upside-down rainbow" was just so bizarre to see.

  • reddit alien

  • Haha...

  • The ET's are coming..

  • aliens

  • 6th

  • Was this filmed in Pennsylvania 2009? Because I just flew my spaceship through there the other day, and that always makes the sun look like this. You're welcome!

  • 4th

  • Amazing o.o

  • Global warming.

  • seen those before high up in the mountain

    it not global warming

    reasons

A:They are called sundogs and they have been here for a really long time

B:A group of scientists recently disproved global warming

C:in 1970 it was global cooling then it was global warming and now its climate change sounds like the person doesnt know what he talking about

D: you likely not reply to this and give me reasons that prove otherwise

    So HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

oh NO im running out of characters tell me wife i love he-

  • @UncheckedIrony I'd say it's definitely global warming. Lets look at the facts.

It's colder than normal this year.

    It's snowing more than normal.

And there's a ring around the sun.

    Proof of global warming!

  • A: I thought it was called global warming

B: We go into and out of ice ages all the time but we are not causing it

    C:I already denounced that fact

    Care to reply MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

  • @UncheckedIrony Sir, with all due respect..

I base all of my comments on hard facts that I've learned from Hollywood movies and actors. (The source of all credible facts.

  • @UncheckedIrony

"B:A group of scientists recently disproved global warming"

Oh yea? look the last decade has been the hottest tens years ever recorded. Maybe you misspoke in this statement? Possibly you ment to say

"B:A group of scientists recently disproved MAN MADE global warming"?

but even if this was your statement, link the peer reviewed document please.

  • thats what i kinda meant

if its warming up at all its because were coming out of an ice age

  • first again
