Mark E. Smith almost got a record deal with Motown, he took Hex Enduction to their offices and played this opening track - when it came to the line "where are the obligatory nigers" they just creased up - and the deal was off. True Story.

I had this album on the original Kamera lable - and I played it to death (destroted it), then I got another, on Kamera, & played that to death too. In '87 I purchased it on white vinyl on a German import (ON LINE RECORDS)- which I've still got.

I like the fall. I don't get your point on this lyric though, or why we're celebrating it like it's important. Isn't it something about unnecessary forced integration in the media? Is that what it means to YOU? So it stopped them from getting on Motown, so what? I think Mark E. Smith has much better things to say especially in this song. I'd like to hear what someone else thinks though.
