but dont you have to buy the rectangular shaped mochi sheets in order to make moffles?

you cant just put in a regular mochi in there, can you. it has to be the thin sheets of mochi that you probably have to buy from the moffle makers or its partner co.

You can buy the rectangular shaped mochi in the asian grocery because that is..a staple food. These mochi are used also for soup and stews, are grilled and behave like mozarella cheese if grilled.

they have been around long before moffle makers.

you can also use other mochi, but it will not be as beautifull looking and filling may drip out
