Dallas is a huge town bigger than Fort Worth and Arlington I have been their so many times for very many things and it is a very nice town and they do have a lot of very nice elevators and so does downtown Fort Worth but I really enjoyed this video thanks for putting this video together.
@Streetcar1743 I drove 400 miles just to see those Westys. In my opinion, it was well worth it, they were AMAZING!!!!!! I put the full version of the westys up today..
Now what we see on the DART is how to REALLY manage a transit system. There are times when you have to have a temprorary ban on phtography which I think is stupid. But if you have to, then you put up a sign alerting your customers. Because photography is not a crime and some places don't allow it. And DART displays how to let people know when photography is not allowed. This is why DART has really a high amount of riders than on most systems in the U.S.
@Streetcar1743 that sign is really unconstitutional. This system is funded by TAXPAYERS hence it is public property so in reality photography is completely legal here.
@dieselducy I agree. And that sign is really even in the wrong state. When I mentioned to my Uncle Bob who lived in Dallas, he stated that he wishes there would have been a taxpayer watchdog program like "You Paid for It" here in St. Louis.
@dieselducy I like it too. I noticed even the windshield wipers on it are pretty strong. When they overlap like that, you almost get a full width cleaning.
I just watched the video, it was very good. I had my screen at full and it felt like I was riding shotgun in the car. Glad to seen some classic elevators that are mostly untouched by modernization. Those Select-O-Matics in the Metro are EPIC. The Comfort Inn here in Denver HAD those until they were murdernernized! I have videos of them in their pre and post modernized state.
Now, my letter to Southwest Airlines will be going into the mail, and as for our trip to Texas next year, I am going to keep an eye out on Southwest Airlines schedule, and between now and shortly after the new service/schedule changes, I am going to stay with the train. Then if Southwest Airlines offers a direct flight at a decent time, then I will fly. Other airlines charge way too much. Southwest charges much lower fares.
Thanks for filming the arrival at Gluse's house! Gluse if you want to, have at it with my Christmas carols and show your family my talent on the organ!
Thank you so much for making this video!!!! LOL, when u were stopping for gas in the begginning of the video, u thought u were going to El Paso :D U would probably filling up gas at least 3 or 4 times if u were coming here, 540 miles, a lot of driving.
@newsboysfan222 Yea, i know right. Is cuz Andrew says El Paso is really far out from the rest of Texas. Yea that is true, but still. Only 540 miles from San Antonio. He comes to Texas every year to see his father in San Antonio. He told me that if he comes to El Paso, he might fly and spend a day and then fly back to San Antonio. SWA flies so cheap here.

Hey, Dieselducy, how long have you been an elevator photographer? I just started earlier this year, and I was wondering what things you make sure to photograph on an elevator? I love learning about elevators, and feel that people take them for granted. They don't really take the time to understand their inner workings.
