  • I've been to Florida. They have Whataburger restaurants there, too.

  • Dallas is a huge town bigger than Fort Worth and Arlington I have been their so many times for very many things and it is a very nice town and they do have a lot of very nice elevators and so does downtown Fort Worth but I really enjoyed this video thanks for putting this video together.

  • I love this video! What a fun road trip. I learned a lot about Texas. I never heard of Whataburger, and now I want one. I feel like I know you now.

FINALLY got o see it. Nice adventure.

  • @georgef551 I hope u enjoyed it..

  • @dieselducy

Yes, I did. I did stop it a few times for YT's imfamous buffering failures, and my own "El Grande" Project.

  • Now what we see on the DART is how to REALLY manage a transit system. There are times when you have to have a temprorary ban on phtography which I think is stupid. But if you have to, then you put up a sign alerting your customers. Because photography is not a crime and some places don't allow it. And DART displays how to let people know when photography is not allowed. This is why DART has really a high amount of riders than on most systems in the U.S.

  • @Streetcar1743 that sign is really unconstitutional. This system is funded by TAXPAYERS hence it is public property so in reality photography is completely legal here.

  • @dieselducy I agree. And that sign is really even in the wrong state. When I mentioned to my Uncle Bob who lived in Dallas, he stated that he wishes there would have been a taxpayer watchdog program like "You Paid for It" here in St. Louis.

  • @Streetcar1743 I remember "you paid for it"

  • So the car has a 4-speed automatic.

  • @Streetcar1743 yes it is a 4 speed automatic. I might actually be buying this car off my sister next year. I really liked it..

  • @dieselducy I like it too. I noticed even the windshield wipers on it are pretty strong. When they overlap like that, you almost get a full width cleaning.

  • @dieselducy That is also going to be easier on your airline bill. You will only need to fly one way and drive the car back.

  • thanks

  • I just watched the video, it was very good. I had my screen at full and it felt like I was riding shotgun in the car. Glad to seen some classic elevators that are mostly untouched by modernization. Those Select-O-Matics in the Metro are EPIC. The Comfort Inn here in Denver HAD those until they were murdernernized! I have videos of them in their pre and post modernized state.

  • Now, my letter to Southwest Airlines will be going into the mail, and as for our trip to Texas next year, I am going to keep an eye out on Southwest Airlines schedule, and between now and shortly after the new service/schedule changes, I am going to stay with the train. Then if Southwest Airlines offers a direct flight at a decent time, then I will fly. Other airlines charge way too much. Southwest charges much lower fares.

  • @4:42 I recognize the city of Kerrville. I went to Medina, TX which is near Kerrville on a mission trip.

  • Cactus!

  • Thanks for filming the arrival at Gluse's house! Gluse if you want to, have at it with my Christmas carols and show your family my talent on the organ!

  • Road Trip is nice. As far as George Bush HIghway. A lot better than Obama Way.

  • Great Job! Do you remember the type of plane in the beginning?

  • Thank you so much for making this video!!!! I REALLY enjoyed every minute of it! :) I'm assuming that video took all night to upload since it was almost 2 hours long, and the file size had to be HUGE once you edited it all together. AWESOME VIDEO!!!!!!!! What video editor did you use to edit this video?

  • That was really good! I thoroughly enjoyed that video, thanks a lot Andrew.

  • Thank You for uploading this. I really enjoyed it. I am blind in one eye and can't see well in the other & through vids like this I get to see the world (well the US). I love your Road Trip and Elevator Vids. • I'm off the shop, going to get some food, some nice chips, some dip, a big glass of coke and just sit back and watch this. I'll let you know when I'm done! :)

  • What an incredible video Andrew! Truly spectacular. You put time into this as well as dedication and it shows. I'll be heading to Vegas in a few weeks and Ill try and film some elevators there for you.

  • ANDREW! What is that airport at the beggining? It looks so familiar.

  • Very nice!

  • I gluse or captainelevator42189 have home elevators. Awesome video.

  • "This is a dangerous driver" **Goes 90 MPH**

  • @Ih8escalators In India most cars can only go 100MPH max because of them using underpowered engines.

  • Andrew, I loved the video, I watched the whole thing, good job!

  • Awesome video! worth spending an hour and three quarters on :) Makes me itching to go on a road trip! Sad ending though, i don't know what i'd do if anything happened to my mum, but cool to see a young andrew! I know you thank us for watching, but thank you for going to the effort to make this video :)

  • At 39:25, those were the storms that my grandparents told me about when they came to El Paso that weekend. They said how bad the weather in Lubbock was.

  • At 32:46, that looks like my grandma's car!! It cant be her because she was home at that time.

  • Slaton!!!!!!! I have been on that road many many times!!!!!! My grandparens live close to Slaton in Lake Ransom!!!!!!

  • At 21:47, I have seen those off the airplane from Dallas to El Paso. I always see them. U are near Abilene at that point, about 3hrs from Lubbock. Yea, those r the windmills my grandpa always talks about when he tells me about his road trips to Dallas. He says he sees those around El Paso, but I never do, unless he takes another route.

  • At 8:35, i see the mileage sign for El Paso!!!!!! Yea, u r still really far, i would say u r about maybe 100 or 150 miles outside San Antonio at that point.

  • LOL, when u were stopping for gas in the begginning of the video, u thought u were going to El Paso :D U would probably filling up gas at least 3 or 4 times if u were coming here, 540 miles, a lot of driving.

  • @elevatortimes they should come over here to el paso to have an extreme elevator roadtrip extravaganza

  • @newsboysfan222 Yea, i know right. Is cuz Andrew says El Paso is really far out from the rest of Texas. Yea that is true, but still. Only 540 miles from San Antonio. He comes to Texas every year to see his father in San Antonio. He told me that if he comes to El Paso, he might fly and spend a day and then fly back to San Antonio. SWA flies so cheap here.

  • FANTASTIC VIDEO

  • I just wish you went to Atlanta a day early to film some elevators downtown. That's what I did before I embark my voyage back to NV. Oh well, love the road trip anyways!

  • this is what hillbillies do in Texas cut in the median

  • *Applause. Good video.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR UPLOADING THIS! I REALLY ENJOYED IT, We are in the process of making a DVD so I do not have to worry about the buffering, THANKS A LOT!

  • @TJElevatorfan I am so glad u enjoyed :) You know I make these with you in mind.

  • Pretty Awesome Road Trip, and be sure it a good response to Georgef551's gauntlet at Pheasent Lane Mall Nashua NH.

  • Thats cheap fuel tanking rofl we pay so much here in Holland.

  • In Arizona we have a I10

  • @20jgard it is the same road. It goes from jacksonville FL to Southern California..

  • I really enjoyed this video! Thank you for sharing DieselDucy :D

  • Hey, Dieselducy, how long have you been an elevator photographer? I just started earlier this year, and I was wondering what things you make sure to photograph on an elevator? I love learning about elevators, and feel that people take them for granted. They don't really take the time to understand their inner workings.

  • @SabreFan84 For 18 years and counting.

  • this video is why dieselducy is one of the best youtubers every love the video sad ending :)
