i think the republicans don't make any sense on healthcare..either they are saying to poor people that things will be better if we keep the same system in place, or they are saying the healthcare we have now is adequate...both are not true.
Any time the government delivers a service the cost goes up and the quality goes down.

Look at Medicare. The reason it works for the Europeans is that they have a much better educated population. They are typically much smaller population and therefore their vote is a bigger piece of the pie (hence states rights as mentioned in the constitution you forgot about). And we provide for nearly all of their defense and have for years. Ron Paul is right. Give the power to the states.
Obviously Ron Paul is right in that Americans should be given a choice in healthcare. That's why many people travel to get medical care. Insurance doesn't cover alternative treatments and also restricts treatments according how cost effective they are. Translation... You'll have to travel anyway to get the care you want. Unless we have freedom to choose with a medical fund ... Exactly what Ron Paul is proposing.
We notice what you are saying, most of it is outright lies, I don't know of anyone that denies that 9/11 happened let alone Ron Paul. The only thing he said was that you can't trust the government story at face value because of the history of government lying. You ever hear of gulf of tonkin incident?
Apart from the subsidy reason for high cost of health care, another reason is special interest lobbying of AMA and insurance co. Also it might sound unrelated but subsidies in education combined are also to blame. AMA restricts licenses to doctors & this in addition to medical education being made more expensive due to govt subsidies has reduced no of medical schools drastically.Get govt & special interest lobbies out of education & health care you will see affordable health care for all.

In the UK,we pay national insurance money,which is taken from our wages automatically.
this contributes to our ,'free,' health care.
So of course nothing comes free,but this system works for the majority of ordinary folk.
