Dual Nozzles. One is manual and the other is automatic and can be operated from the turntable. Smooth bore nozzles in the bucket that can be attached for more reach or penetration.
are those dual nozzles on the tower platform there?! i've never seen a tower ladder with any more than a single nozzle on the platform, and that would be a pretty neat idea to be able to hit multiple areas with one ariel unit
Should've gone with a Seagrave Aerialscope!! (Just kidding!!)
Seriously a company near where I used to live had a Seagrave Aerialscope all spec'd out but it was deemed too expensive (typical of Seagrave-you pay for the name, a la Cadillac) so they got a Sutphen Tower instead and saved over 100 G's. But they have had nothing but problems with it.
It is an American LaFrance Eagle built in Pennsulvania. It is a nice truck but we have had our share of problems with it. It is not standing up to our Canadian winters very well with all the electronics and switches.
nice ladder my station is getting one similar the one in the video around easter except the the color is going black over red. what size is the ladder 93,95 or 100ft
