Alot of Black people want to mixed with Indian or any other race of such because they are descendants of slaves who's blood lines were lost through rape and voluntary sexual intercourse with whites, spanish and Native americans. For myself my grandparents are bi-racial. One is half mexican and white. The other Choctaw Indian and Black. That's just my dad's side. While on my mother's side one is haitian and the other is black.

STRAW & others, I think it's great if a person of Native & African heritages identifies with "both" cultures whenever possible. I think if one chooses to identify as I have with both cultures, they need to have communications/

ALL: I was going to say, I think it's pretty progressive & forward-thinking to simply drop uses of the terms "black" & "white" because they are based on institutionalized racism & they divide people into categories. What almost all blacks like to claim as Native American bloodlines is actually Caucasion admixture. They are both YAhudi of the Ancient Yahuwans of YaHsarel. They were great sea farers. They mined in the Americas 2500 Years before Columbus, they operated under the same law of YAH for 4300 years the only nation that has ever accomplished this quest. It doesnt matter who black people have or have not been throughout time...even if we are never known for being anything other than slaves we still achieved great things and all that matters is that we should know that....why are we always trying to prove ourselves to other races why cant we just be happy inside ourselves with the knowledge of ourselves

@jahluva2000 Its not about proving that we are of other cultures and races, its about understanding and knowing the actual TRUTH and not what mainstream America and media try to water down and hide. The fact that we are of other cultures and races is just apart of the HISTORY

@4shopiece It's already understood, and known. Why is it though that only Black go out of their way to "prove" they are part, this and part that. You can walk in any city in America and clearly see the beautiful grades of Black color, texture, and flavor. Our African heritage has more to do with our identity than any past, or present affiliation with American Indians. And quite frankly, I don't see any reason to take pride in being affiliated with a defeated race of people, like Inidans.

Which I believe their current state results from the effects of colonization on land rights and claims on the tribal level and federal level it gets complicated. Anyway tho its about taking pride in your heritage itself and not just tribal affiliation over course this conversation could on and on for days on end
