my favorite thing about Roseanne was how real it was. Houses so hetic in the morning ur mom giving you smart comments and ur dad saying 'you heard ur mother' ahhh the joys of television

I think that's one of the reasons this show was so popular. Other family sitcoms like Full-House were phony & unrealistic. This one brought out the realness of everyday routine life.

No, that was found to be untrue. A few years ago, Sal Barone wrote online that he was replaced because the show believed he was too young after being given the opportunity to recast.

I wish my mom was this cool. "I Love being a Domestic Goddess" too! Although, I'm still looking for my Dan. I got the DJ and the Becky...I wish I was as close to my sisters as Roseanne and Jackie. This show is me minus the Dan. I'm the same age as Lecy (Becky) so I started watching Roseanne to watch Becky (Sara Gilber is older then Lecy in real life). She has made me laugh, think, get mad and cry at the same time. Roseanne succeeded to show the world a real life family on TV.

i dont know exactly what happened but at the roseanne reunion on the roseanne show (november of 1998) sara stated that she didnt get along with sal and roseanne said that she beat him up!

The first dj's name was actually Salvatore Eugene Barone. he hasnt acted since being replaced on the show after the 1st episode. I love the Michael he was one of my fave characters on the show..
